My wife was pregnant with my daughter when this game was played. She's 12 now, headed into 7th grade. Bama has never lost to Tennessee in her lifetime!
looking back on how much Saban did at Alabama this was his first season - I remember after the Auburn loss he said we will get it turned around -- gees what a fast 17 years
I think I’ve commented on this before. But this is the only Alabama game I’ve been to. My best friend at the time who went with me was a huge Tennessee fan. Was one of the best days of my life. We had so much fun
Just replied to your old comment and saw this one immediately after lol... I had just got home from a deployment the day prior and hadn’t slept in two days. After the excitement of the game wore off, I slept for 36 hours lol...
@@christopheroliver4757 damn now that's a true fan, know you had to have been tired enough to sleep standing up but the fan in you kept you awake til the game was over. Thank you for your service as well
Also, Saban/Steele had barely anytime to recruit and still were able to get not only McClain, who was the #1 prospect from Alabama but the low 4* gem named Kareem Jackson. Both started as freshmen and were two of the 3 best players on defense, the other being Rashad Johnson. (a future 3rd round pick and NFL safety with 0 D1-A scholarship offers but walked on as a RB at Bama)
i swear i dont remember the tv being so grainy back then its only been 10 years but guess things just changed that fast its cool lookin back on this hell i was 13 lol
Patrick Sims This looks like an old local CSS broadcast. Pre SEC Network. I used to always question the difference in quality between these and the primetime games. I mean I CSS wasn’t a major network but I wouldn’t have thought the difference between their quality would be night and day.
I'm positive it didn't look this bad back in 07. I think the problem is due to perhaps the quality of the digital recording itself. Times were tough back then when it came to sharing media lol.
LOL @ Arian Foster pointing to our student section(who is actually one of my fav RBs of all time despite being a Bama fan) and Erik Ainge talking crap after that TD..... Well I hope they enjoyed it cause it was their last TDs on rout to getting SPANKED.
It reminds me so much of Florida State from the Bowden days. I cheered for both schools growing up, so I think I just automatically freak out any time a kicker lines up for a FG!
Fulmer was fired, but it was because the TN AD Mike Hamilton told him that he expected at least eight victories, and TN went 5-7. Hamilton fired Fulmer after the Bama game because by the end of the 3rd quarter, almost all of the TN fans had left Neyland Stadium, and Bama fans "owned" the place. That incensed Hamilton, so he fired Fulmer. That started TN on a downward spiral of going through 4 head coaches in 10 years.
@@Infamous41 and 2008 was a damn good run until they ran into Florida for the SEC Championship. 2009 they got sweet revenge though, although the Vols damn near beat Alabama that season, we all remember that game, thank you again Terrance Cody

The players Bama is recruiting right now were four years old the last time TN beat Bama. So those players have never seen Bama lose to them.
That’s crazy thankfully I don’t remember but I was 11 and in 6th grade iPhone wasn’t out until next year in 2007 when they last beat us 2006
I was born in '03 so at least the streak ain't as old as me.
That’s crazy I was 12 last time we beat them! Cmon Boys!!
@@michaeltinch8945 I was a senior in highschool the last time y'all beat us 😂
This is the only game I’ve ever been to. I’ll never forget it. Roll tide!

This was the first Alabama/Tennessee game not on CBS since 1997
Man I thought Terry Grant was gonna be special. I live where he's from in Lumberton, Ms.

I was at this game and sitting in the nose bleeds. You could literally hear Saban cursing up a storm the entire time.
2007 was the debut of the iPhone, Total Drama Island.

I was at this game. It was so loud the entire game. Fans kinda knew this game was gonna be won by bama.
So Nick made it known quick that he was going to own Tennessee
And on this day.....A STREAK BEGAN...the kids that were 10 are now 23 and have never seen Rockyflop beat the TIDE!!!
Now they saw it Tennessee is back
The streak!
Nick Saban: I'm Going to END that SON OF A BITCH'S CAREER at Tennessee
so crazy how every single bit of footage of this rivalry starting here and going forward is of a bama win.....14 in a row and counting!!
15 as of yesterday 😁
Now Tennessee has the upper hand
One game in 15 years is not the upper hand
@@therealfronzilla as of 2022 yes they do they’re back in football and great again whether you like it or not
Proof that Alabama can only have a good team or a good kicker, never both.
It would be unfair to the other teams if Alabama had both lol

I think Tennessee finally got another qb that can beat bama, but too bad it won't be with Saban
41-17 and Fulmer was fired the next season for his lies and backstabbing.
Karma
