It was narrated that Abu Umaamah said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.” 2. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He who says, ‘Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi‘ (Glory and praise be to Allah) one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the sea. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) 3. Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet said:“There are two statements that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scales, and beloved to the Most Merciful: Subahana Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhana Allahi Al-`Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allah, Glorified is Allah, the Most Great.)” (Al-Bukhari) 4. Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet said: He who repeats after every prayer: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) thirty-three times, Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) thirty-three times, Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) thirty-three times; and completes the hundred with: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai’in qadir (There is no true god except Allah. (Abu Dawud and authenticated by Al-Albani) 6. The Prophet peace be upon him said "Whosoever recites Durood Sharief on me 10 times in the morning and evening, I will intercede for him on the day of Qiyamah." (TIBRANI) 7. Ruh is the spirit/ soul... It is the the command of Allah and the true Khalifa (representative) who is supposed to govern the body. It is from the spirit world or unseen realm. Nafs is of this dunya/ world... Also resides in the body but has motives to become the illegitimate ruler of the body so it constantly fights the ruh. Both Ruh and Nafs fight for governance of the heart. They have their supporters. If Ruh rules, the person is with Allah. If Nafs rules, it can take the ruh to the point that it is almost dead. The Ruh can only succeed with Allah's help while the Nafs gets help from dunya, desires and the shiatan. It is this epic battle that is the context of us Insan (Humans) mentioned from the story of Adam and Iblis. You want to be at the point where the Nafs accepts the Ruh as it's ruler and that become friends. Nafs ul Muthmainna (content soul) See 'internal conflict between Ruh and Nafs' on RUclips by Dr Tahir ul Qadri for an introduction. Unfortunately this subject has been neglected in modern Islam although it is a third of our Religion. Islam, Iman, IHSAN. And some who don't want to understand it (as it requires work) neglect or even shun it as being foreign to the religion. Islam started as something foreign and it has come to the point it is foreign again although it was never foreign.
I think the worthy scholar is mistaken in stating that body dies when Ruh is taken out. I think Ruh leaves the body when Nafs dies. There is difference between the two . Death comes upon nafs as Quran says. And Ruh is bound to depart once nafs/body dies.
You are wrong about "RUH". Allah doesn't say in the Qur'an that when the RUH taken from the body - your body - you will be dead! In the Qur'an Allah doesn't use "RUH" in relation to human-being. Allah doesn't say "Adam had RUH", "you have RUH". You confuse "NAFS" with "RUH". When you die your NAFS will be taken from your body. Please read all the Ayats where "NFS" and "RUH" occurs to see the differences of uses of "RUH" and "NAFS" in the Qur'an. Don't forget the meaning of a word is not what correspond to it ; an object, a thing. The meaning of a word is its uses in the language it belongs.
Subhanallah...i was the one who posed this question on this show. Jazakallah khair for this beautiful answer.
👍 Ma sha Allah
Thank you so much
I calmed down

You're wrong. Ruh is part of nafsu, given by Allah subhaanahu wata'aala

I still don't understand the difference though.
