These are some pretty cool and creative danmaku ideas! Perhaps to cut down on the huge runtime (which is to be expected honestly, for a project this massive -- I'm really impressed you managed to pull this all off solo), you can cut back on the healthbars for the nonspells and spells. Note how in the original all-stars, each attack didn't last for very long. I understand that may be tricky for some of the attacks you've done here, but maybe just make little tweaks here and there to speed things up? Looking forward to the full release!

Finally finished watching xD I simply loved it! all-stars was one of the first Touhou videos I watched so it's nice to see it been remade. I used it in the past to memorize characters names Hecatia and Kaguya spellcards were hilarious And only Koakuma didn't appear y.y poor koakoa
love Koishi's spell: very good combination of cuteness and creepiness (exactly what can be expected from her). also that Junko's spell was clever adapation from original non-spell
A few things: Not sure when it stops, but pressing C straight up crashes the game. Then later on works as intended. If you get a Time-out while sakuya has freezed time, your character is stuck for the entirety of the rest of the game. Playing the script in Danmakufu as opposed to your launcher can create some major design bugs, where sprites dont load, effects render as if they are missing their images, and the boss name thingy shows up empty. The difficulty spikes, severely. You can be chilling in tier 3 when suddenly a huge flurry of attacks starts and you're there like "What just happened?". Some of the spells in early game are comparatively hard, and some of the end game spells are comparatively easy. Also, as an amateur scripter, i have to thank you for supplying literally every single sprite of every character. As well as the other resources that im too noob to have created myself.
I'm not a good balancing difficulties and lazy to fix things I just like to put things that matches their power/personalities lol also if you use custom sprites from me, you need to put credit as well but I personally don't mind
I'm extraordinary late to this party but I figured I'll just say that this is one hell of a job you took and fucking all hell does this really look impressive. Problem with this is really just those difficulty jumps, Length of the Boss (Specifically the parts around Stage 4 to 6 and EX Bosses), that stutter or freeze when you defeat a boss and then there's this FPS drops? Idk if it's intentional (Youmu) or the engine or something but yeah that is probably a problem. Of course, by now you already definitely fixed those points at this point in time. The comdey, if you can even call it that is pretty neat especially the one about Hecatia and Junko. Then there's the er "unique" features that some bosses have, Okina and Seija / Mamizou for example. Those are smooth as fuck and is a great addition to the mix though I expected Yuyuko to pull off a "unique" feature of her own since the official did. Like she have a "Last Word" Spell-Card that is pretty much a Survival-Card or something. Just a small thing I was just questioning, How come some of the patterns from Stage 5, 6 and EX Bosses look so. . ."tame"? Then again I'm just watching it so that's probably why but I expected a lot worse if anything.
I'm also interested to see what tweeks you'll make. Words of advice for later scripts, try to not just use CreateShotA1, A2 can make attacks feel a lot more dynamic. Infact most of the attacks here could benefit from A2's bullet acceleration and deceleration since where they stand, they kinda feel a bit...Boring in a sense? Some attacks like Parsee and Mystia's nons feel off since they just suddenly stop before they start moving again. Another tip, the script lasts an hour and a half long! I think I suggestd this before, but either way make the down time between attacks as short as possible. You can keep the damage rate roughly the same, just do something like make the spellcards active instantly after the nonspell is beaten and get rid of the deley between boss defeat and the next boss's name showing up. Other than that, I'm REALLY happy to see someone make as big of a script! The attacks in here, whilst needing some tweeking with how they work, are creative. Mad props to ya dude.
Junkyx1122 yea I'm going to make the last stage less laggy and rebalance the difficulty between normal and hard since there are some patterns in Norm that looks ridiculously hard. And I'm also going to add the final result tracking the spell history like your game tho haha
I've been slowly making a shitter version by myself too. However this is clearly so much better. I'm a shit coder who can't figure out backgrounds and bgm (separate in each spellcard). . I can't seem to get animations working either. Love this. Wish my smaller version could compare... my patchouli script shows how hopeless I am.

I dont think i can add anything new since everyone has mentioned already the one issue: Game Time. Although Im curious if you are gonna now use the new Sumireko Sprite from Violet Detector. My suggestion: -It would be cool to give Sumireko her Violet Detector sprite, and maybe giving her some photography moves in her spellcard -I would prefer IN Marisa sprite over GFW one, and Magus Night over Love-Coloured theme, and Kagome-Kagome to Tewi & "Faint Dream ~ Inanimate Dream" to Yuuka to make it exciting. But hey, it's up to you. I can't wait for the release :)
And also, I noticed that there's a problem with a dance sprite movement with Satono in this Boss Rush and Crazy Dancers fan-game compared to official games (16 & 16.5)

I also love the custom sprites for some characters, you did a really good job! 2: What is that spell card Satori uses? It seems familiar but I can't put my tongue on it. 3: The game crashed when I was fighting Reimu, and some other guy reports a bug with Sakuya. Just thought I'd let you know. Keep at it! :)
dunno if someone else reported this bug, but i somehow defeated sakuya inside the stopped time while she was moving, and that got me paralyzed for the rest of the game, some of my bullets too lol
I really love this fun idea, I wonder if you'll add Touhou 17 WBaWC characters for your next update, and maybe some TH 17.5 ones after that game is released.

Looks great, the artwork during the spellcard also very cool But i don't think i see Koakuma here Eventhough you put Daiyousei and the other midbosses in here
So yeah, lots of ppl talk about missing Koakuma because... I don't feel like it, since other midbosses like Dai-chan and Lily got debuted again in 12.8 and 16. But Koakuma like.... 2 non and they are exactly almost the same so I decided not to :^)
holy hell, you madman. I think this is the first time a westerner made a "medley". Well, I'm assuming you're a westerner anyway. Junky's got me covered for some of the stuff, but I'd like to say some stuff myself: There seems to be a difficulty jump between certain bosses. For example, Dayousei's spell is pretty easy to read, even if it's coming from behind. Kisume leaves a giant space after attacking you , where she could be shooting danmaku that closes in onto the space beneath her. And then you got Parsee, who suddenly ramps it up with those heart bullets that go straight for you. A tip for "proximity" based gimmicks: Have the bullet stop then accelerate first. Also, that TD stage 2 girl whose name I WILL NEVER REMEMBER: her spell, while manageable, could be on ISC levels if tweaked a bit. I recommend putting her at the center rather at the top if the player has to go around her so much. -Also, why is Nazrin's fortress impenetrable if we can shoot it down so easily?-
Umbra the SHDW gasp there's actually a real name spell from Mystia. Oh and I'm actually an Asian, still but I'm on the western side though nvm that haha And last, yeah, some of the early bosses spell and non are bugging me of the gimmicks so I can't quite keeping up with difficulty balance, I really appreciate for the criticism uwu ~~I accidentally forgot to change Nazrin's spell name since it's from the prototype spell~~

Only thing I have to say is I think yukari should have gotten her normal theme instead of whatever remix you choose I couldn't even tell it what it was an supposed to be until a little into the song. It is also really quite hard to hear over the bullets
This theme that’s playing is one of her themes from antimony of common flowers. I don’t remember it’s name but… I think it plays when you fight her in story mode??? Again I forgot.

just played your game thats the best boss rush of touhou i can play but how do i put UI ? can't see death count and about sakuya i killed her the moment time stopped so i get softlock for the rest of the game Lol game crashed when you try to skip boss
sometimes I quick brainstorm patterns on my mind when I was afk or traveling then I went back home and try that patterns on coding and fixing and debugging until I felt satisfied

qwqU To go back on the A2 thing, not all attacks need to heavily use it, just make thought out choices.

dunno if someone else reported this bug, but i somehow defeated sakuya inside the stopped time while she was moving, and that got me paralyzed for the rest of the game, some of my bullets too lol

I really love this fun idea, I wonder if you'll add Touhou 17 WBaWC characters for your next update, and maybe some TH 17.5 ones after that game is released.

Edit: There's a bug if you end sakuya while being hit when she freeze time --> you become permanently paralyzed for the other bosses.

I was wondering why Ichirin had different sprite. Now I think I get it. It's a reference to her theme's title
So yeah, lots of ppl talk about missing Koakuma because...
I don't feel like it, since other midbosses like Dai-chan and Lily got debuted again in 12.8 and 16. But Koakuma like.... 2 non and they are exactly almost the same so I decided not to :^)

I think this is the first time a westerner made a "medley". Well, I'm assuming you're a westerner anyway.
Junky's got me covered for some of the stuff, but I'd like to say some stuff myself:
There seems to be a difficulty jump between certain bosses. For example, Dayousei's spell is pretty easy to read, even if it's coming from behind. Kisume leaves a giant space after attacking you , where she could be shooting danmaku that closes in onto the space beneath her. And then you got Parsee, who suddenly ramps it up with those heart bullets that go straight for you. A tip for "proximity" based gimmicks: Have the bullet stop then accelerate first. Also, that TD stage 2 girl whose name I WILL NEVER REMEMBER: her spell, while manageable, could be on ISC levels if tweaked a bit. I recommend putting her at the center rather at the top if the player has to go around her so much.
-Also, why is Nazrin's fortress impenetrable if we can shoot it down so easily?-
(oh, one more thing that bugged me: mystia's spell name is directly ripped from IN)
Umbra the SHDW gasp there's actually a real name spell from Mystia.
Oh and I'm actually an Asian, still but I'm on the western side though nvm that haha
And last, yeah, some of the early bosses spell and non are bugging me of the gimmicks so I can't quite keeping up with difficulty balance, I really appreciate for the criticism uwu

I wish I could play this. Looks like a lot of fun. Only thing I have to say is I think yukari should have gotten her normal theme instead of whatever remix you choose I couldn't even tell it what it was an supposed to be until a little into the song. It is also really quite hard to hear over the bullets
This theme that’s playing is one of her themes from antimony of common flowers. I don’t remember it’s name but… I think it plays when you fight her in story mode??? Again I forgot.
it feels like each char's difficulty represent their difficulty in the game itself

Sakuya's timestop needs to be fixed, it carries over to Reisen and that freezes Seija for the rest of the game. Even getting hit doesn't fix it

Nice Doraemin reference on Shinmyoumaru spell. Interesting how you showcase Seija's spell. The original uses Shikieiki's spell. Overall impressive script, just need to cut the time. Think you will recommend this to MegamanOmega184 when it it done?

sometimes I quick brainstorm patterns on my mind when I was afk or traveling then I went back home and try that patterns on coding and fixing and debugging until I felt satisfied
