Its my birthplace, my Home, my comfort place… its the northest part of the Philippines. In my time growing up all of the houses are always open, nobody puts a lock. Everyone is welcome to someones home. Its a shame those times are fading yet Batanes is still one of the safest place on earth.
Batanes has zero crime rate. They have an honesty store where you just have to pay for your goods in a box without the seller and as well get your change from the box
This the part of the Philippines that is farthest from the equator. That makes it one of the 'colder' parts of the country. The only "negative" thing about this place is this is also one of the regions most visited by typhoons yearly. If it were not for the typhoons, I'd be living there right now.
Batanes in Summer is really really great. but Batanes in rainy season is not okay. most of the typhoon exits Batanes. maybe that's why stone house really fits the place.

Kulas is not his real name I think. He adopted that name when he lived here in PH. Or maybe someone gave the name to him and it stuck. He traveled the Philippines with his motorbike. I think his last stop was in Batanes. He's a Filipino citizen now. We were so proud when he was granted citizenship.

Kulas is not his real name I think. He adopted that name when he lived here in PH. Or maybe someone gave the name to him and it stuck. He traveled the Philippines with his motorbike. I think his last stop was in Batanes. He's a Filipino citizen now. We were so proud when he was granted citizenship.
