I think the o line will be better than expected. I could have broke a tv or two watching Corcoran last year, but he might move inside and be better. I also believe Evans Jenkins played good with his limited time last year. Rhule is a trenches guy at heart. We aren’t gonna see the same boxes as last year, and if we do it won’t be for long. GBR

Believe it or not, I actually think the Colorado game will be very telling in regard to Raiola’s ceiling, but it doesn’t have anything to do with his skillset or raw ability. Even at this stage, I think he has the tools and then some to dismantle CU’s defense. That said, coming from a Nebraska fan, even though both teams aren’t that good relatively speaking, this upcoming game against them is going to be one of the most meaningful and intense matches that we’ve have this past decade. It sounds silly but it’s true. It’ll tell us a lot about the kind of pressure he can tolerate. I suspect he’ll hold up well, but you never know that sort of thing till it’s tested. Jeff Sims had an unprecedented meltdown last year solely due the pressure of the matchup. Great vid as always. GBR and Go Blue!

The Colorado vs Nebraska game will certainly have eyeballs. It's Deion Sanders taking on one of the most passion-filled programs in the country, I wouldn't be surprised if it has more views than superior Texas vs Michigan game earlier in the day. I think CU's defense has so many questions that Raiola could play about as much as McCarthy did vs Penn State last year and Nebraska could still win. However, if Colorado is able to target Nebraska's DBs, then Raiola may have to emerge and play a great game to earn a win.

Corcoran is proven to be a bad OL player until proven otherwise and Ben Scott and the rest of the group, while good, are not near-elite or elite. Compared to several Big Ten offensive lines that will at least have one near-elite to elite player or more, or ones that have an awesome track record, Nebraska has a limited OL.

Corcoran won’t start, and he won’t play guard. He’s a tackle. Rhule said exactly that yesterday in his press conference. I agree, Corcoran isn’t very good. The overall O-line will be fully serviceable not limited. Check out the Dunning - Kruger effect. It may apply in this case.

I don't think they'll ask too much of Dylan early on. If he just runs the offense effectively and takes care of the ball, the team will look markedly better this year. The line is very experienced and should provide adequate protection. They should run the ball well again this year, but watch out for the new RPO game. Instead of a QB option to run, it's a read to either give the handoff to the RB or throw to the TE in the flat as an extension of the run game. I'll bet you see that play called 8 or more times a game.

@@collegefootballwithsam I think they drew the short stick with their schedule. Their toughest opponents on the road. However they’ve played competitive for years and in the era of a 12 team playoff they just need to not lose games they should win. They can’t afford a loss to Rutgers and might steal one of those harder road games. Beating Colorado out of the gate puts them on track. Overall I believe they will be on the outside looking in come playoffs

Nebraska fans sorry but this is more likely than a shot at the playoffs, not making a jump from no bowl to playoffs. I think Nebraska goes 7-5 to 8-4.
