Tommy's ego wouldn't settle for anything less than a "sold out" show
Not only did he not sell out the Bird's Nest, he never performed there. Wouldn't be surprised if instead of the Hollywood Bowl, he played a community center down the street called The Hollywould Boll.
The Bollywood Hole in East L.A.
Lol. There is a macabre thrill in seeing pathological liars' realities crumble around them...
What was one of his lies ? Bet you can't name any.
@@LelandReview Claiming to drive a Lambo in the 90s when he actually drove a Pontiac Fiero.
@@richmond2pollock You can ask JT. He went rides with him. Or were you keeping track of what was in his garage 30 years ago ?
@@LelandReview”Amico is on the launch pad”
@@LelandReview”I was just giving the $100,000 in small increments to my band members so I didn’t have to taxes”
I don't remember when, but was before 2013. VGL was going to come to the Kansas City area and I bought tickets and thought I had good seats in the 11th row. Several weeks later, the morning of the event, I checked the seating chart and the best seats are still in the 11th row. The event was cancelled due to lack of tickets sold and I got a refund.
Did you check with Tommy to find out if your experience is true?
Amico is basically the FyreFest of gaming. I can't wait for there to be a behind-the-scenes documentary on this flim-flam man.
The shows at gamescom 2015 in Cologne for sure were NOT sold out! They were a financial disaster, because Tommy did not know, that the "kids that go to gamescom" won't spend the price of a concert to go to Video Games Live. I worked for the show at that time and to get the tickets sold, they dropped the price to ~10 € only hours before the concert started. That was the first and last time working for VGL.
The Devil enquired about Tommy's soul but... Sold out!
Best comment ever.
Didn't his reputation already bite the dust with the whole Amico debacle?
And the corpse keeps digging and digging and digging....
Nope. Many people understand the chip shortages and how hard it is to get a company started even in the best of times.
@@LelandReview Oh please... lol... the whole thing is a scam.
@@JustMe99999 Your the one that got scammed. I'm playing Amico Home right now and loving it. Its affordable family fun just like Tommy promised.
@@LelandReview "You're" not "your". And I didn't get scammed because I didn't back the project. However, all of the people who gave them money and backed the project got scammed because there is never going to be an Amico released to the public. I suspect you're writing this stuff tongue in cheek.
I guess "sold out" just means "no longer for sale" as in, Atari sold-out of copies of E.T. atari 2600
Also I just got tickets to see E.L.O. at the baseball stadium in September and I don't even think that's going to sell out
Tommy "sold out" Intellivision fans...
That is a show to see.@@Cueya
@@Cueya…thanks for the heads up on ELO. They were a childhood favorite and remind me of the good times of the late 70s in Tampa, Florida.
0-14 Buccaneers…ahhhh…ATARI & the weather & “the Rowdies are a kick in the grass” + NASL Champions & ELO’s “Out Of The Blue” is making everything
👌really nice👌
@@Cueya…I was a little kid and wanted to see Elvis for my birthday in 1977. “We’ll see him next time”…
will be seeing ELO for sure this autumn.
I miss Tommy tallarico. all the outlandish things he would say because of his massive ego were really entertaining to watch.
Imagine going to a video game music concert and not hearing any Nintendo music LMAO
Kudos to Tommy for keeping this lazy VGL show alive for so long
I attended it twice. First time was the best show I ever seen in my life. And not a empty seat. Second show wasn't nearly as good as the first but still good. And lots of empty seats open.
Why would you even admit you actually paid for this? Hope you got in free.lol.Poor sap.@@LelandReview
@@edwardmclaughlin719 Of course I paid i'm not a freeloader. I also volunteered to help. VGL and Electric Playground are two of the best things to ever happen in Video Games. Not everyone fell for the Amico is a scam clickbait. Me and my GF are playing Amico Home right now and loving it
Looks like VGL came to my town once or twice. Never been though. Cause the show was "SOLD OUT"!
It’s sad how many people there are who lie to make themselves look good and get away with it.
*the no swear detective! Good job and good video!
I bet the show in Wuhan China was sick. Chip shortage.
Well researched and reasoned video.
I think Hbomberguy deserves a lot of credit for exposing what a lifelong liar Tommy is.
I attended VGL's show in Taiwan in 2008 and 2009. Back then, VGL would have "sold out" and "sold lots" on their past shows. My understanding is that if they sold like 60% or 70% of the concert, they would say "sold out." Anything less would be "sold lots."
1/10th the population of China is 142 million. Thats how many he said saw the show 😂
They avoid this area like the plague!
It's clear they're struggling as there are better acts out there.
I was there in Greensboro and had an amazing time, the show was amazing and the crowd loved it. I've been a fan of VGL since 2008 and own all 6 albums. One of my soccer club (Montreal Impact) used to also mark sold out every time even if it wasn't, it's sadly a common marketing strategy it seems. Indeed, VGL lost the Nintendo license since the Mario movie came out.
Nice, was every single seat filled? Also is Tommy as good at air guitar as he looks in video?
Also did you, Mike, and Tommy talk about Amico?
@@thweetiebird Negative. We only talked about video games, the show and random stuff.
@@MasterSystemMarceau I get it. Must be a touchy subject lol
Sounds like you had a great Amico day
I am shocked! 😮 😂 we need the beloved leader back! We need that type of marketing back!
His bombastic, habitual lying was pretty damned funny.
I went to VideoGames Live twice - 2008 and then again in 2010 when they played Toronto. Neither time was sold out. That's fine with me. There were still plenty of people attending and I actually got up and changed my seat for a better one and nobody cared to stop me. Had it truly been sold out, my experience would have been worse! I am actually glad it wans't sold out and my experience was so much better.
Lying that shows are sold out when they weren't is unnessary and immoral, but I also don't think it matters. VideoGames Live is a great show. The actual preformance is by talented orchestras and they are who you attend the show to hear, not Tommy. You should go to VGL regardless of Tommy lying about shows being "sold out". That shouldn't be a deciding factor.
Tommy didn't lie about the shows selling out. It's common for shows to be called sold out even when they have many seats left. In the industry they call it putting seats on hold.
@@LelandReview Wow you are quite the apologist all over these comments.
@@JustMe99999 Yes debunking the false info is fun with Amico. None of the critics have a single valid point. They all fell for the haters click bait that was fabricated.
Wow!
Tommy being Tommy
He lies so often, about so many things, that I wouldn't be surprised if Tommy Tallarico isn't even his real name.
What's one of his lies ?
@@LelandReview He continually lied about the Intellivision Amico system, lied about the company's monetary intake, lied about who was and wasn't employed by the company to attract investment, lied about games included, lied about controller functions, etc. All of these things have been well-documented.
@@speedgriffon2504 What did he say about Amico that was a lie ? He didn't lie about who was helping. They simply didn't mention he was unpaid advisor role. What was a lie about intake ? What games were lied about ? What controller function was a lie ? Maybe seem well documented to you. But to me it looks like you fell for misleading youtube clickbait vids. Most of what's been said about Tommy and Amico is pure speculation or fabricated by trolls and gaming racists.
With all due respect sir, your use of a term made up by Tallarico himself -- "gaming racists", which doesn't even make any sense -- pretty well invalidates your position. No sir, they're not speculations or fabrications or trollings; they're observations made over a period of several years, many of them by folks who love the brand and supported the product. The RUclipsr "Slopes" has made a 4-hour documentary which details the entire timeline of events and points out Tallarico's many falsehoods. And incidentally..... "They simply didn't mention..." -- that's another way of saying "lied".
@@speedgriffon2504 You're wasting your time with that one. He's so far gone that if Tommy told him to drink bleach, he'd do it without question.
stop giving this man money
Attempting to create FOMO to sell future shows
Come on guys… it depends on the setup they’re using too. Not the max capacity of the stadium. Performers do this all the time. So do some sports. You guys who were duped by amico are like scorned girlfriends.
Tommy never loses…
and according to François the best console ever made will be releasing soon.
Meaning the Haterz and their hate filled hate towards anything Tommy does or tries to do will always backfire in their faces. So your video is just another in a long line of misinformation & lies & hate which will be debunked and Tommy’s IE Amico scam & garbage system dude will be happening and will forever be known as the videogame system above all other videogame systems…haha.
Video Games Lie(ve)
First!
Tommy? It really IS you!
@@eforhan wouldn't that be something
Bruh I am so done with these Amico drama videos or whatever. I’m here for the classic games m8
Tommy T is relevant to the classic gaming community due to the very expensive scam he pulled, and his concerts are gaming related.
Again this break down to a misunderstanding over a definition. "It often comes down to precisely what "sold out" means. And that can vary, depending on the venue and the act - whether it be a musical group, a dance company or a touring play.
Alexis Kenleigh, chief marketing officer for Orchestra Iowa, the ticketing office for the Paramount Theatre, said there are a number of “holds” that apply to most venues. So when a show is listed as sold out, it doesn't necessarily mean all the tickets have been purchased." Gazette
The definition can vary, it's true, but as the video clearly demonstrates, Tommy T stretched that definition well beyond the breaking point, as he's made a career of doing. Anyone can plainly see that.
@@speedgriffon2504 When you are a showman or promoter your actually doing a good job when you hype things up. If he didn't then that's what a bad job looks like.
This guy is a strange apologist who upvoted his own comment, which is weird in itself.
@@JustMe99999 I like all the comments to help out the channel. And i'm just debunking false claims by gaming racists.
@@LelandReview Respectfully, I don't think you understand what the word "racist" means.
