When handling the Red Hot Chili Peppers it is very
important that you DO NOT touch your EYES, LIPS or FACE. You should also wear rubber gloves.

I absolutely loved watching your video. The history in it alone gave me so much joy. Learning from our elders is priceless. ❤❤❤
This is an awesome video. Everyone is having fun!
this was so wonderful. Thank you!!
It's that time of year. My go to video as I make them again. Have this saved and watch every year. Great job. I'm from Woodbridge Ontario
I made these last year with olive oil and it was a HIT with family and friends! Will be making them again this year. Btw I also froze them in jars too & it was perfect.Thank you
Hi you guys! Thank you so much for this fun video! My husband and I watched this and we enjoyed it from beginning to end. In the beginning of spring I ordered Bequinho pepper seeds, since we ate at a restaurant where they had those peppers on a cheese platter and we liked it, so we decided to grow our own. However, when the plant started to make peppers, I could see that it is everything but and since we don't eat hot peppers, I did not know what to do with the Chili peppers. But now, since we followed your instructions we made four small jars just like you made and we love it! We almost always have it on the table at dinnertime. A friend of ours also asked for your video so she can make it. Thank you again for sharing and for being so cheerful. Have a blessed Christmas. We had to open our backdoor also and we had a good laugh about that.🤪 Would have liked to add a picture, but I don't know how.
Thanks for sharing. Love your video. From Toronto Canada.
Happy to see your still making videos
Sweet family, thanks for your work......and yes......inside voice for videos but I understand your excitement !!!!
This chilli recipe is absolutely delicious 😋
Buongiorno, just fallowed your recipe and finished the peppers 🌶. If I had smell-a-vision video I would have used a air mask. I will try them in 1 week to see it turned out. Great video, great commentary.
Grazie 🙏
Good jobs ladies have a great summer!!!!!!!!!!
It's so unfair that everyone doesn't get to have an Italian grandma.
Love italian food... mm mm pasta !!
Well I had the most fun watching your video
she dont let the abuela explain
winnie Elisabeth Daniel she’s a Nonna not an Abuela, Abuela is used in Latin America/Spain/Portugal I think too. Nonna is Italian
How Fun... Yum🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
Great video! How long can you keep the oil for before it expires? thanks
Great video thank you
This was fun to watch lol
I salt my chopped up chillies for a few hours before placing them in oil. The chillies keep longer
Love u Nonna 🇨🇦. From Beaverton
Hi there i did make this but i was just wondering if it would keep just as Well out of the fridge or does it have to be keeped cool?
that spoon scraping the teflon haha
They’re such a good band !
Hi, I loved your video! Thanks so much for posting it. I was wondering if that was Avocado oil that you used?
Thank you. Yes, she used Avocado oil. You can use Avocado Oil, Canola Oil. But if you use Olive Oil it will solidify and turn cloudy.
How long does a jar last before it goes bad? Does it have to be refrigerator? Can these be canned and sealed at the beginning and onced opened can then be adding oil as being used?
It's yummy...
lovely recipe and I love hot peppers so it will not last that long!
my Nonno was also born in Torella.. was very surprised to see that
Dairy products help with the Capsaicin. But personally like the burn.
Superb.. Feels so real... As if learning from mom and granny's
Does it need to be refrigerated. I make more of an oil. I keep mine out. I use olive oil. Please advise
LOVE the recipe how long will they last in jars I want to do many. Thanks
Months... we have some left over from 2020 that we still use. It must be kept in the refrigorator.
@@LauriePaolone Thank you!
Is there an echo in the room?
Are they the Calabrian Chile’s? I’ve been looking into planting my own, and I’ve seen the ones that grow upside down, and I’ve seen the round ones
I'm don't remember which ones we used in this video. But my favorite are the Thai Red Hot Chili Peppers
Better than others, thanks! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
This is like the fifth time I watched the video, I love Italian but I do mine out of habanero cause I’m Mexican I like it really hot
Nina how long does this last. You said September but vid was posted in Jan. 3 months?
Are they just called hot chillies or is there another name for them? can you buy these chillis at the grocery store? can you leave this out of the refrigerator?
how long do they last?
Can I save hot pepper in oil only without cooking?
Cab you eat the peppers or is it primarily for drissling over pasta?
Yes, you can eat the peppers too but it's going to be extremely hot.
You guys are amazing, very entertaining to watch thanks for sharing the recipe and procedure~ kudos to the camera man, she did well by asking questions why shes doing that and this why like that and this, etc. thank you
She repeated the same things over and over and over again. My god if you didn't hear it the first two times, just rewind. Absolutely annoying commentary.
@Xtremechilipepper that’s how Italian Nona’s and Zia’s are. It’s the culture. It’s really unnecessary for rudeness, when they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, and helping so many people. I’m sure many of us would thank you to keep your negativity to yourself. Seriously!
What was the purpose of the vinegar bath?
It disinfects/ acts as anti fungal and it gives a briney taste.
But oil is antifungal too. Why not just sizzle the chillis a bit in hot oil and then add a bit of vinegar and cool it down with room temperature oil. Should cut down the cooking time by 3/4th
Ok but how long will it take my oil to play californication
Use a salad spinner to dry much easier and u dont lose all the good chile oil...or wasted paper towels
With a salad spinner, you often do lose the seeds...
What kind of Chile’s are you using?
We like to use Thai Red Hot Chili Peppers
can I add chopped garlic to the jars?
Yes
What is the amount of peppers?
Milk will cool the peppers heat down
Why does your zia put the peppers in vinegar and water?
Rhcp SLAPS
What type of chilies are these?
We like to use and grow Thai Red Hot Chili Peppers you can also buy them from the Asian store.
Is there an echo in there?
I'm resistant to extremely hot and burning chilli!
@Flip Flipovec , then why you watching this vid?
can these be canned?
yes, if you boil them in their jars
Why is the lady recording YELLING??
HAHA I was just thinking the same exact thing. They are talking so loud HAHA
I was thinking the same. I thought maybe it is cultural.
The Italian way - you wouldn't understand
Some folks are hard of hearing - and speak loudly
Loved the tutorial, but girly was stressing me outttttt
My wife, she can’t cook raw chills. The fumes are way too strong. I do it for her.
After watching Friends, this video reminds me of Janice.... Just sayin'
You guy's don't want to touch your dingeling either after handing the Calabrian chilies .....
Don't touch your eyes or nose!!!! If you get some on your lips or in your mouth, HOT black coffee takes the burn away.... right away, too.
.... And, by the way, the woman with the loud voice was just fine. Some of you weak sisters need to chill out.
Why did you have to repeat everything she said that was so annoying I couldn't even finish watching.
Omgsh i just wrote the same before reading this! Lol
Have you ever had a grandmother or nana? They all way repeat everything and drum it in to your head because it is that important. Love the history
Are those red jalapenos?
No, they are red hot chili peppers.
@@NonnaPaolone we don't have red hot peppers as a species here in Europe, but I'm guessing there are peperoncino peppers (they are Spanish red peppers). That's what we use in the pasta arabiata.
You are warned not to touch various body parts when handling these chilis, but if you are a man there is another body part to watch out for.
Dear god the yelling lady is annoying...l would've subscribed otherwise. Im gonna hear her in my sleep.
I didn’t think there was any yelling. Just loud talking. I grew up in an Italian family & I remember girlfriends thinking we were arguing / yelling, but we were just talking
Y
dont touch your eyes or nose for a few hours
Specially Guys don't touch the Willy after that 😲😲😲😲 even if wash your 👐 before going to the bathroom
Why scissoring?
Why not just heat the oil, take it off the stove and place the peppers in and skip the whole boiling in water step and having to waste so much paper towel. Plus then the peppers would infuse the oil.
Because it's a killer good Italian way of doing it.. the vinegar gives the peppers really good flavor and almost makes it a pickled pepper oil.. tasty
She rinsed out all the heat??? Not a good choice!
She speaking very plainly and clearly why on earth are you having to repeat everything she says? I admit I didn’t finish the video because it was so annoying.
oh heavens, I cant ... so loud...annoying, I guess I could turn it down, huh? I'm getting anxiety watching, and I dont have that problem normally. It's probably me. Bye.
Me too!!!
Less commentary from the video person. It’s brutal
Absolutely agree, just let her talk ... we got it the first time.
Loud and stupid in the background. Ruined Nonna's video honestly.
How do you say irritating girl in the background in Italian??
the repeating of what is beaing said gets annoying
Yes, was difficult to watch and try to understand what she was doing without someone repeating every single thing.
So much unnecessary talking. This video could be 1 min max.
😂what a waste of time and flavour... there's a better easier way...sorry....I did it my way 😂
