Nepali is among 22 official languages of India, other official languages in State of WB,Sikkim,Assam.so Nepali is a language not Citizenship of any country, same Languages is being spoken in different countries, like Bengali in WB&East Pakistan now so called Bangladesh,Punjabi in Punjab province in Pakistan,Tamil in Jafna of Sri Lanka,Bhojpuri in madesh of Nepal,I believe we don't have to always put that tag of Indian Gorkhas or Indian Nepali, take a Rs 10 note the language printed on 8 no is Nepali, I hope you will convey this to people,Jai Gorkha,Jai Nepali Bhasa,Jai Hind 🇮🇳
You are absolutely correct and I respect your opinion wherever you may be coming from. But where I have come from people have lost their lives for this said identity. It is not just about a language, it is about the cultural heritage and identity of an entire community of people. The people from districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong have been long distanced from their due. There was a time that this very language that you speak of was our only form of identity. But it differs when you compare it with other languages. It is not the same. The divisive politics rolled with slow displacement is a silent form of cultural assimilation into a culture that is not of our own. Hence the requirement and the need for our voice to be heard, so as to move in a direction where we are recognized truly for who we are and not the way certain camps would portray us. If there is an attack, it is only right for one to defend.
@@talesofanindiangorkha2933 I belong to the very nearby district as mentioned, Jalpaiguri of WB & I have heard, read & learnt about the lack of Political will, determination, convenience of our so called Gorkhaland Leaders to mislead, harm, kill, the will& aspiration of our people.i have also learnt about the Arrogancy 😡 of previous Governments esp the LEFT of treating us the Second class citizens of India, hegemony of the administrative setup back then, but now my point is since Indian Citizens know, admire, respect our society, culture, ethnicity, language, linguistic view & the recent Governments are committed to uplift our people then what's the harm in xcepting the Constitutional truth of our people, our language, traditional, lastly I just tried to draw a parellel point which we should tell, explain, challenge teach the so called Literate people's of Indian Society whenever 'They' question us of identity, our Language, mother Tongue n our existence for the Greater Cause of our Society
