At that scale I think the thrust of the duct is overtaken by the added weight of the duct itself thus making it less effective the reason it seems more controlled is because of the added weight on the tail chilling out the rotor tourq I only say this because I did some experiments with ducted quads and also coaxial helicopters and used different boom lengths and counterbalances to gain either stable or more sporty flights still very cool helicopter I really want an xk 124 and would love to build a scale md500 little bird from it as the multi rotor head is perfect
