I always thought it would be a neat story that featured someone who thought he'd be raptured, but then a convincing rapture happens and he has to contend with being stuck in the left behind, eventually discovering other people who were also peculiarly excluded. But then I couldn't find a way to make a convincing rapture that was accessibly believable to the rest of us. We have too much other _bunches of people disappear for unexplained reasons_ mythology, so the public would see it as _the big vanishing that isn't a rapture._ In the meantime, yeah, some of us are downright naturalist and yet are spooked by Hellfire just because it was pushed into our heads when we were toddlers.
So be good, for goodness sake. The consequences of the rapture lie cannot be underestimated. Fear of not being good enough to be taken, fear of abandonment, fear that "it's all gonna go to hell in preparation for Jesus," fear, fear, fear. My friend is armed to the teeth, has his own bunker full of food, and can't understand why I'm not doing the same. I am prepared for a few months of supply chain interruption, but I'll share.
We at The Church of The SubGenius call it the rupture. When the non believers get what they deserve from the sky gods. Only those that tithe cash for a membership are spared. 😂 Parody is an art.

So I wonder then, what are the verses talking about regarding Jesus returning? Did they think he was going to come back and be a ruler over the Jewish people? What did Jesus mean when he said he would return? Obviously they thought he was going to return. What can we take from the verses used to describe the end times?
Isn't that the same as what so many books and films show of what happens when, say, a British lord comes home with his new wife? All the servants line up on (or around) the steps, and the butler or majordomo greets the two?
weird enough rapture ideology is completely entrenched in brazilian evangelical churches, I grew up with this, all the conspiracy theories, the kirk cameron's left behind and the terror that comes with it, I remember clearly going through a "prophecy study Bible" my mom had in portuguese that had rapture notes throughout (it also said that the soviet union was gonna play a big role in the apocalypse, and I believed while reading in like 2008 😂lmao)
Acts 1:11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? Did he leave with a heavenly multitude and millions of angels, white horses, multitudes? No. Maranatha!!

Who knows what horrors lie between the pages of the Left Behind series? Honestly, a whole lot of boring repetition with paper thin character development. There's pretty much just one interesting character in the whole series, but he's the villain and he lacks any nuance. Plus, it's way too long. With as long as the series is, you would think that a lot of events have to happen in that pre-trib, pre-millennial model, but, honestly, like one event, at most, happens in each book. Characters spend more time talking about what the Bible says is going to happen than they do actually enduring the things that are supposed to happen. To be fair, I read what I did of the series as an exmo atheist, so... not the target audience. But there is some great fodder for awesome set pieces and story beats in rapture theology, pretty much all of which gets squandered in the Left Behind series. 2/10, do not recommend.

What?!!! I am always amazed by what I see and hear on social media. While people will definitely be saved during the tribulation period (Revelation 7:9-14), and while these saints will certainly suffer from the judgments and persecution occurring at that time, there are 5 fundamental considerations (along with many additional factors), clearly indicating that the saints constituting the church must be removed from earth prior to the tribulation: 1. The saints constituting the church are special to God (Revelation 19:7, John 3:29), and God promised the saints constituting the church that they would not face His wrath (Romans 5:9, 1 Thessalonians 1:10 and 5:9), which is poured out on the earth during the tribulation (Revelation 6:16-17, 11:18, 14:19, 15:1, 15:7 & Revelation 16); rather, the promise to the saints constituting the church is for sequestration and protection (Isaiah 26:20-21, John 14:1-3-with parallels of Noah, Rahab, Lot & his family, and Enoch-all of which are not Jewish people). 2. The basis for salvation changes during the tribulation period. Now, before the tribulation, we obtain forgiveness of sin and eternal life by believing in and accepting the sacrifice of Jesus and His resurrection. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10). During the tribulation, however, in addition to believing in Jesus, a person must also refuse to worship the Antichrist, and a person must also reject the Antichrist’s mark (Revelation 14:9-10). This is why Jesus said that the Gospel during the tribulation is one of endurance (Matthew 24:9-14). The change in the standard for salvation is best implemented by first removing the saints constituting the church; otherwise, many saved people risk losing their salvation. 3. God needs to complete His plan for the descendants of Jacob (i.e.,the final “seven”-year period-of Gabriel’s prophecy to Daniel as recorded in Daniel 9:24-27-which prophecy is expressly related to Jerusalem and Daniel’s people), which has been suspended during the time of the church (Romans 11:25-26). The fact that the plan of God is directed almost exclusively towards Israel & Jerusalem in the tribulation is evidenced by the attacks on Israel during the tribulation (Ezekiel 38-39), which are described like a locust invasion of Israel (Judges 7:12, Joel 1, Isaiah 33:4 & Amos 7:1-6), the battle of Armageddon occurring in Israel (Revelation 16:12-16, 19:11-20), the special seal being given only to 144,000 “sons of Israel” (Revelation 7:1-8), and Jesus returning to earth at the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:4). This is starkly different from the plan of God during the pre-tribulation period for the entire world (John 3:16 & Matthew 28:19-20). 4. During the tribulation, God uses special Gospel proclaimers, including the 2 witnesses (Revelation 11:1-13), an eagle (Revelation 8:13), and 3 angels (Revelation 14:6-11)-strongly suggesting that the church is no longer present to spread the Gospel. 5. There are indications in Scripture of a pre-tribulation harvest. See, for example, Amos 7:1-6, where the “king’s crop” has already been taken before the “spring crop” of tribulation saints are harvested, the latter of which occurs during or as a consequence of the assault on Israel and the descendants of Jacob. The king’s crop represents the church-taken before the start of the tribulation. The later crop represents people who become saints and die during the tribulation. There is extensive additional information in support of a pre-tribulation rapture. The overwhelming scope of information demonstrates the undeniability of the pre-tribulation rapture. Much much more support is listed in an article at prophecy resources dot com. Maranatha!
So... the lady who disappears from her grain grinding job is not flying up to heaven, but is only going to fly up a few hundred feet, and greet Jesus in the air, then float down to a new capitol city that Jesus built on the ground? That sounds even sillier than the rapture ;) Someone like Dan or Bart needs to explain Matt 24 verse by verse, and other passages used to preach the rapture. Explain like I'm a 6th grader. THANKS Dan and Dan
Going from what Bart says in his book “Armageddon” about the Matthew verses you’re referring to, he says they are taken out of context. The verses before them has Jesus comparing the coming of the Lord as similar to what happened in “the days of Noah”. Noah and his family were safe in the ark while the flood took everyone else away. So the ones who are taken away are the ones who will be destroyed. In other words, you shouldn’t want to be raptured.😂 The ones left behind are the ones who are saved.
It would have been so nice if Dan would have taken all the scriptures Christians use concerning the coming of Jesus Christ, and explain why each of them are not true. But again like 50% of the time we are just hanging with an opinion. You diagnose evangelicals as not having the truth. However, your case flunks because you did not hardly use Scriptures that they use concerning the "Rapture". There seemed to be no preparation for this podcast and not educational at all. However, I continue to listen, scraping up what knowledge I can. Hope you can see that my criticism is to help you guys bring your fans what they want or what they need. Peace y'all
Therefore the Lord said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden." Isaiah 29:13-14 Repent Hell is real
Apparently, you guys have no belief in the word of God here’s what Jesus said so you go against Jesus. He said I go to heaven to prepare a place when I’m finished. I will come again and receive you want to myself so that where I am, you shall be alsoJesus in heaven, why did he come down to bring us to heaven? You people are completely lost without any knowledge at all ever but never able to come onto the saving knowledge of the Lord.
Apparently, you can’t read your own Bible. First off the book of John is not Paul John never even discusses a rapture. Second, Neither Paul nor John discuss a seven year tribulation where believers are removed from the earth and hidden in heaven. You guys just love reading things into the text that are not there and then assuming that each author must speak with one voice this is an assumption that you have not demonstrated as true.
Lord Jesus, please allow these 2 guys to have an awakening. And if not allow the hearts to be heartened and so that when judgment time comes Lord father, God bring it to my attention. Bring it to my spiritual awareness when I'm up there and haven't getting judged. Braided to my awareness for the God that these 2 will be judged tormentally. In hell. If they do not repent, they are misleading millions of millions of souls.
1. They aren’t misleading millions. As good as they are their subscriber numbers just aren’t that high. 2. Are you actually hoping that they get tortured? You really want another human being to be punished with eternal torment because they disagree about how a selection of passages in a book is interpreted? What kind of psycho hopes for that? You’re sick and you need help. Even if evangelical Christians are 100% correct and the rapture happens tomorrow, it would be a horrifying sight to see billions of people suffer. I mean, you seem to think that even Christians who simply don’t think there will be a rapture are going to be tormented. So, a person can believe in Jesus and still go to hell because they don’t think *you specifically* are right about how you interpret the book of Revelations.
7 ANTICHRIST Q&A’s: This close to the Rapture, the EASIEST way to identify the soon-to-be-revealed ANTICHRIST (per Paul’s instruction in 2 Thessalonians 2:3) is by watching and listening to ISRAEL…a chosen people, so spiritually blind, they do not realize the same powerful ruler they are now convinced is their coming Messiah, is-in truth-the Biblical Man of Sin: 1. Have Jewish rabbis finally identified one strong gentile “prince” as Israel’s MESSIAH ((Daniel 9:27) in the manner of Israel’s first great gentile Messiah, king Cyrus the Great? Yes, it appears a growing number of Jewish rabbis now believe Donald Trump is their Messiah; more specifically, their MESSIAH BEN DAVID: Israel’s SECOND great gentile Saviour, patterned after Cyrus. (Isaiah 44:2, 42:1) 2. Knowing Revelation 6:2 identities the ANTICHRIST as having a CROWN, has Israel recently issued a CROWN to Trump? Yes, in July 2023, in a special ceremony, Israel awarded Trump the CROWN OF JERUSALEM. 3. Knowing the rider of the White horse in Revelation 6:2 comes in PEACE, has Israel officially recognized Trump as their PRINCE OF PEACE? Yes. On February 27, 2024, in a special ceremony, Israel awarded Trump a golden menorah, and the messianic title: PRINCE OF PEACE. (Daniel 11:17) 4. As Israel’s PRINCE OF PEACE, has Trump brokered a regional PEACE agreement between Israel and the Sunni Muslims, per Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy (Daniel 9:24-27)? Yes, on September 15, 2020, Trump signed Israel, UAE and Morocco to an unprecedented peace covenant (ABRAHAM ACCORDS), as a way to protect Israel and the Sunni gulf states from Iran. 5. Knowing the ANTICHRIST must eventually “confirm" (STRENGTHEN) his original peace covenant (per Daniel 9:27), has Trump yet done that? Yes. In the last few days, Trump’s new ABRAHAM ALLIANCE was announced-a global right-wing coalition-to combat Iran and China…or what B. Netanyahu calls: “The new United Nations.” 6. Knowing the role the ANTICHRIST plays in the building of the Jewish Temple, how involved is Trump? Heavily. Not only has Trump promised (in 2016) to help build the new Temple, Trump’s likeness is already on the Temple half-shekel coin (with King Cyrus). As well, the new Temple Mount train station is being named the “DONALD J. TRUMP/TEMPLE MOUNT” station. 7. Does Israel yet associate “signs and wonders” with Trump? Yes. Trump’s recent assassination attempt is now seen amongst rabbis as the prophetic fulfillment of a Jewish messianic sign: the “PIERCED-EAR” prophecy (Exodus 21:6); thus more proof to Israel that Trump is the one.🧩

We have too much other _bunches of people disappear for unexplained reasons_ mythology, so the public would see it as _the big vanishing that isn't a rapture._
In the meantime, yeah, some of us are downright naturalist and yet are spooked by Hellfire just because it was pushed into our heads when we were toddlers.
The consequences of the rapture are exactly the same as the consequences of the Death Star, all consuming but fictional.
We at The Church of The SubGenius call it the rupture. When the non believers get what they deserve from the sky gods. Only those that tithe cash for a membership are spared. 😂 Parody is an art.
I learnt about The Rapture after i watched "This is the end" movie. 😊😊😊
When we were virgins, cat bible college, we were afraid of the rapture before the rupture.
I need to find the "God aweful movie" podcast. LOL I was forced to watch A BUNCH of those growing up!
This was great. Could you discuss predestination please???
Love the content, thanks!
I love the side effects. Do Christians think it will be a tube like in Futurama?
Gosh that is way better than most the crap they come up with. I wrote a paper in English in Junior High where I was a penny that was in the tubes they have at the bank drive-thru. Maybe all these tubes just drop from the sky like oxygen masks in a plane? 😂😂😂
So I wonder then, what are the verses talking about regarding Jesus returning? Did they think he was going to come back and be a ruler over the Jewish people? What did Jesus mean when he said he would return? Obviously they thought he was going to return. What can we take from the verses used to describe the end times?
Well done fella’s
I find it terrifying that I always understand Dan M's references. ;)
We love an Uncle Buck reference 😂 great show as always!

Paul is refering to the new heaven.
Acts 1:11
who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
“Like manner…”. That pretty much sums up the what is going to happen and how.
Did he leave with a heavenly multitude and millions of angels, white horses, multitudes? No.

Those movies scared me
The Lord never spoke of an early exit called rapture, and not one prophet ever spoke of it. Here: *Matthew 13:37-50, John 6:54, 1 Corinthians 15:52 = Revelation 18:4 kjv* you can either believe him or not....and no Revelation 3:10 isn't a rapture neither is 1 Thessalonians 4:15 & 17....we are here until the Lord returns Matthew 24:29-31 kjv.
41:44 *Bani Adam* (Persian: بنیآدم; Hebrew: בן־אדם), meaning "Sons of Adam" or "Human Beings", is a 13th-century Persian poem by Iranian poet *Saadi Shirazi* from his Gulistan. The poem calls humans the limbs of one body, all created equal, and when one limb is hurt, the whole body shall be in unease. -Wikipedia

@@MohsenGanj Are we talking about limbs still?
@@juanausensi499 Ah. Thanks to your response I found out that the head isn't a limb. And apparently, whoever translates this poem didn't know the exact meaning of "Limb". So, i think a better translation should be "Humans are MEMBERS of one body".
@@MohsenGanj A good comparison would be cells of a body.
I thought the layers of heaven was a Jewish mystic belief. Paul was a Merkavah practitioner some had suggested.

_Rizz_ is short for Charisma (CHA) so it's like _pizzazz._
_Ohio_ is creepy and weird, and it couldn't have happened to a nicer state. I suspect youth pastors try to have rizz but instead are ohio. Probably is lower case the way spam (online advertising) is lower case to differentiate it from Spam (the Hormel processed meat).
_Skibidi_ is an interjection, but I'll use it as an adjective to mean _very_ or _extremely_ so _skibidi mewing_ means _looking amazing_ probably due to extra grooming prep, much the way diggity-dank means _extra dank_ (describing some seriously sticky-icky cannabis buds).
Fear the Rapture? No.! There is no Rapture.........
What you should fear is, that it is indeed a fact, there is no Rapture in the Bible.
Yes it is in the bible 😊

I disagree with you two mocking and saying 'how would Daniel know that his complexion was pale?' - remember he was with companions and although saw no vision they did witness Daniels reaction to the vision.
Its okay and important to point out the misuse of scripture but its off putting to watch you two degenerate into a Beavis & Butthead type sniggering.

it felt natural and certain (and terrifying), everyone was talking about the rapture could happen any minute now, of course it's true and in the Bible!

What?!!! I am always amazed by what I see and hear on social media. While people will definitely be saved during the tribulation period (Revelation 7:9-14), and while these saints will certainly suffer from the judgments and persecution occurring at that time, there are 5 fundamental considerations (along with many additional factors), clearly indicating that the saints constituting the church must be removed from earth prior to the tribulation:

It's fairly easy. When God arrives, people will stop what they are doing to go greet him.
Power of Jesus starting those that taste the power and Rebuke will be consumed with negative energy. 😅
IS that... Bad?

AUGUST RAPTURE 2024
It would have been so nice if Dan would have taken all the scriptures Christians use concerning the coming of Jesus Christ, and explain why each of them are not true. But again like 50% of the time we are just hanging with an opinion. You diagnose evangelicals as not having the truth. However, your case flunks because you did not hardly use Scriptures that they use concerning the "Rapture". There seemed to be no preparation for this podcast and not educational at all. However, I continue to listen, scraping up what knowledge I can. Hope you can see that my criticism is to help you guys bring your fans what they want or what they need. Peace y'all
Therefore the Lord said: "Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden."
Isaiah 29:13-14
Repent Hell is real
Whackjob alert
7 ANTICHRIST Q&A’s:
This close to the Rapture, the EASIEST way to identify the soon-to-be-revealed ANTICHRIST (per Paul’s instruction in 2 Thessalonians 2:3) is by watching and listening to ISRAEL…a chosen people, so spiritually blind, they do not realize the same powerful ruler they are now convinced is their coming Messiah, is-in truth-the Biblical Man of Sin:
1. (Isaiah 44:2, 42:1)
(Daniel 11:17)
Netanyahu calls: “The new United Nations.”
Wow.
