I was reading ur bits n pieces, I asked can u put multipurpose compost 4 ur cactus 🌵 n u hv said No. Well I hv always used compost 4 my catus's n they grow just fine 😊
I never knew that you could root cacti in water; I wonder if this only applies to South American cacti, or if you could do that to a desert cactus as well ? Aarre Peltomaa
You can do it with all kinds of cacti the only downside is the roots grown in water compared to the roots in soils are different meaning that they might not survive hope this helped you
This video is great! I got mine to routinely root in just a few days. I love these guys! I am starting them in soil instead of water
Glad that it was helpful! Happy gardening😊

No. Never root cactus in water. NEVER.
Cactus
No. Never root cactus in water. The roots that develop are water roots and will fall off when planted in the soil. Then probably rot.
