They put a frequency graph on the product page, so it's obvious that AST have the same stupid tuning like these, ASX or ASF. They packed something like 8 tweeters per side, yet no trebles can be found. Forget about it.
@@Apokathelosis um, actually the AST is relatively flat (maybe even flatter than the ATE?) with a much milder dip in the mids compared to the CS16, ASX, and ASF. There also isn't a sharp treble peak. The AST might sound a bit more like the CA16 with hopefully better imaging, detail, and soundstage.
@@Apokathelosis unfortunate if its same sig as this. But thatll be surprising coming from a kz if thats the case. But lets see once it lands on my studio.
do you suggest to try against the ZSX (my daily driver) ? if not what else to use instead of ZSX which I like ? (ZSX is a bit sibling , the only reason I want to test something different)
I went from the zsx to starfield and lovd the the starfield much more. It's my end game for now. But if u wanna get the starfield then buy the aria. Moondrop aria is so similar to Moondrop starfield but cheaper
Yes, especially for vocals. The ultra-highend models usually pair BAs with piezoelectric and electrostatic drivers. I have the $20 Senfer DT6 which has a bit of everything: BA-Piezo-DD. There is probably one with insanely good bass as well, but I don't know it off the top of my head.
@@krayozmines Hi yes. Its not specific to the iem but. When i use them which are the Faael snow lotus 1( commemorative edition?) and the TRN MT1. I sorta get sick or get migrane? This is a first since I've been using other buds and iems in the past even the KZ ZSN Pros(Not mine but used for a month) . I sold my KZ ZSN coz someone wanted it. Then i saw a trn mt1 which also had some reviews. Im not sure if its just me or something with the iem/buds that sounded off? And is there a way arround it or to adapt to it.
First thing, change the cable and the eartips. Try upgrade cable from TRN or Kbear, or Yinyoo and Faaeal. Change the tips to Spinfit, preferably Spinfit CP145 or CP100. If you're accustomed to ZSN Pro, than you might prefer bright IEMs than the warm ones. Coz MT1 has really deep bass like poking in the ear type of bass
Hmm for gaming, this is my personal pref, but i might go ssp since the lower air frequency elevation might help with less fatigue. I game though for a long time, hours on in, so fatigue is impt for me. For short gaming burst though starfields are fine. But for music starfields for me over ssp. So up to you depends on your usage.
@@zpolt that's the problem, i cant decide hahahahaha.. but for soundstage and detailing, what is better in your opinion? I mostly play fps games so they're important aspects
right now I'm cca c12 users, I want to upgrade cable but don't know which one is good, hope someone can give me some recommendations by your experience, because I'm new to this. thanks!
there is a issue regarding TRN BA5 where its driver either in left or right buzzes or lose its volume overtime .(around 2-5 days of usage) That is why I stay away from all BA config IEMS.
Hm....most of my IEMs are BA-DD hybrids and I've had no issues with the following over the past year: > KBEAR Lark > KZ ZS10 Pro > Senfer DT6 > BGVP DN1S Might just be brand or batch-specific. Good to know though.
Indeed. Thats my bad. I forgot in my channel i have a high number of ppl with revealing audio gear. Lol. New vids are better. Btw im also wearing my 6xx now. Nice set.
@@zpolt lol, no worries. Your vids are great. I was just caught off guard a couple times. RUclips seems to compound it during the upload process which is why I us the 6XX for RUclips. I highly doubt it sounds like that on the original recording. Don't take my comment as a negative. I love what you are doing. Your comparisons with samples helped me a lot and is what guided me to purchase the first iem I have bought in many years. I'm a headphone collector but needed something portable. Your videos helped me pick one that fit my preference and ended up being one of my most enjoyable audio purchases in a long time.
Please stop calling IEMs custom, when they have ergonomic fins etc. Just call them ‘ergonomic’. ‘Custom’ is a terrible terrible description. Otherwise, as always love the channel :)

Why do you like CCA C10 more than C12? 🤔
I bought the CCA CA16 after you released this video. The CA16 was awesome these 2yrs+. Any new IEM you recommend for a upgrade from CCA CA16? Thanks!
Hey good day! What IEM will you recommend for crisp vocals and good instrument sounding? Budget meal pls hehe 😉
Why do you like CCA C10 more than C12? 🤔
I had the C12 and thought CS 16 would be better but I can’t say I enjoy it as much. Your review is spot on.
Most underrated RUclipsr❤️
Can CCA - C10 be one of the best contenders in 2021 too?
I've ordered CCA -C10 a couple of days ago and it's about to arrive.
Plz let me know mate
CCA C10, C12 and C10 Pro are very similar in sound signature, this is a good choice.
C10 is a really good iem for the price. Still one of my favs, hope you enjoy yours.
@@zpolt thanks .

Would love to hear your opinion on the new KZ AST that came out today. It's also another all BA set
Lets see if it reaches my studio

Yeah derrick. Please review KZ AST. And also it's brothers: KZ ASX and KZ ASF

CCA CKX
Would these benefit from a parametric eq?
What do you think is the best budget under 50$? Your opinion
TRN BA5
Excellent review like all of yours. I've heard some kind of hype about CCA CKX. I'd like to know your opinion
Oh, i do have one, will work on it soon
Someone else here mentioned the all-BA KZ AST. Mind to test the Fiio FA1 too?
It's their sub-$100 semicustom with a single extra large Knowles BA.
The fa1 is rly interesting. I need to be in touch with fiio.
You also have penon sphere if you like single ba look at new kbear neon
Pass.
Earfins, unengaging design, very underwhelming packaging and accessories. Probably will pass on these even if it's priced
Can a BA only IEM be as good as a dynamic or hybrid IEM?
Yes, especially for vocals. The ultra-highend models usually pair BAs with piezoelectric and electrostatic drivers. I have the $20 Senfer DT6 which has a bit of everything: BA-Piezo-DD.
