I really like the idea of taking Dimension Ripper and Demonfire Infusion along side the tier set for a lot of flashy procs to really amp up the Chaos flavor on Destruction
Did some testing in the 11.1 PTR for the Destruction tier sets, here are some observations: The tier set bonus synergizes with the Raging Demonfire (12 bolts > 14 bolts reflected in tier set tooltip) and Demonfire Mastery talents, will extend Immolate/Wither duration which is great. Proc rate of “Jackpot!” ranges around 25 - 45% during dummy testing (Single Target). This results in CDF to surpass CB/SB in total damage, at 24% of total damage (15% from tier, 9% from hard cast CDF) in ST situation. The proc’d Demonfire does not need to be channeled and will not interrupt any casting. Boring tier set but is quite powerful (subject to final tuning of course). New talent Demonfire Infusion (passive DF bolt from Immolate/Incinerate) proc rate seems like a little low in ST situation and potential be good in AoE situation with F&B. This talent does not synergize with Raging Demonfire, no extra 2 bolts when proc’d, but will extend Immolate/Wither. Talent build played for the dummy testing (disregard the class tree): CsQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgAAAgNDzMzsY2AzMAAAAwMzMbLzMbAAABAIWAAAAAAAAzMzYAA

Need to make the new tier sets for all classes/specs more special! Using that same jackpot, Insurance, etc... is boring. Everything sounds even more RNG than usual.

They are probably setting up the groundwork to finally remove aff from the game. It and It's not worth to maintain a spec for that one council fight per expanions.
In my opinion its a failure of design that we have to ask ourselves if this buff does work or not with the new dreadstalker. I think they should have given it a new model from the ground up and also have it named something else like puppymacfelface, and then also update the talents texts to mention its name if it does affect it. With this current thing we have to scout logs to see if this talent mentioning dreadstalkers covers it as well or not. Not to mention that it makes it harder to bug test.
Public Test Realm, it's Beta testing for the next patch. You have some parts of the next patch available for testing, sometimes systems, dungeons or raids. Normally you can copy one of your toons there and test stuff. You can install it from the launcher. However, I think you have to activate/sign up for this in your Battlenet account settings to have it as an option.

So for the Dog. It appears to be. Not as amazing as some of us Hoped. Bot nowhere near as bad as some of us Feared. Particularly when it comes to Tyrant and Talent interactions. Tuning making it dog-shit (pardon the pun), not withstanding. I think its pretty good.
I never understood why you do damage testing with the BFA dummies, either zuldazar or boralus. you did that in the past too and you always get unrealistic numbers. like your greater dog did nearly 900k crit on that dummy. that's almost twice as high as mine. and guess what? If I try this on the BFA dummies, I also get these numbers. there is obviously some scaling going on. But you could say "that might be right but the relative damage is the same then if everything does more damage than the dummies in OG or dornogal." But that's somehow not true. In my testings I found that in OG and Dornogal, my Greater Dogs sitting around 3.7-4% while in BFA they're doing 6-7% of my damage. So that is indeed some critical difference in there.
Yeah recent cities have an odd pvp flagging issue which cuts the tier set bonus in half damage increase wise. Need to be in BFA/older cities (non org depending on dummies) to test
