In this video, I show you how I remove frame protection from my mountain bike. This process will work for even the most stubborn and strong frame protection kits. Note that an aluminum frame is used in this video. I personally would do this same process on a carbon frame, but that is you call to make.

Thank you just started doing it and IT WORKS ! Tried all ! Use alcohol to get sticky off ! Thank you m8 !
It’s amazing how strong of a hold that stuff has!
That stuff was on there good, it didn't want to come off!
Right!? I’m not sure what brand of frame tape this was, but it was thick!
Got my stickers today, thanks again!
Heck yeah! Be sure to tag me if you stick them anywhere!
What would you suggest for carbon frames? Definitely not putting a heat gun near it, it will melt the resin in the fibrer and weaken it
Great vid! We are working on building our channel as well! This year we will adding many videos!
Stick with it! It’s a lot of work but a lot of fun!
Happy Thursday!
Paint thinners will remove anything - adhesives, tar, name it ... while at the same time, leaving your hardened paint intact.
Nice video man!
I put a Ride Wrap on my bike as soon as possible.
Are you going to replace the frame wrap or just leave it off?
Good question! On this, I will leave it off. It’s my DJ, so am not too worried about it.
I have my enduro bike loaded with a variety of protection from AMS to just 3M wrap.
I just unboxed a new bike today (video coming soon 😉) and will likely add some protection in a couple spots
@@TheShredShedMTB Ooo can't wait to see it! I wonder if it going to be a DH bike 🤔
@@thebigoutside9623 i would love one, but definitely don’t have the need for one anywhere here in Michigan 😑
@@TheShredShedMTB ya when you have an enduro bike there isn't much of a need for one. Humm maybe a trail bike 🤔 well I guess I will find out soon!
🎉
Watching this vid after yanking of my frame protection without a heatgun, now lets remove all the f'n residue
Noooooooo! Good luck buddy 🫡
How did it go?
From the video, it does not look like the bar code or bike name came off after the plastic was removed. Can you please indicate if any visible damage to the name of the bike?
No damage at all. I purchased this bike used and am the 3rd or 4th owner. I think the bike was originally a rental or demo and the bar code was used for that.
Very much appreciate the response! Planning on installing lamin-x on a Pinarello Grevil bike.
@@user-wx5uz7cg9u I’ve installed/removed several types of frame protection and have never had any problems. Good luck!
Thanks! And no paint peeling off as well?
@@user-wx5uz7cg9u none at all. However that’s subject to the quality of pain/clear coat- each bike/manufacturer will be different.
