Once your son starts crawling try steam mopping. You just fill up the steam mop with distilled water and the steam kills the bacteria/germs. You don’t need to use any floor cleaner, I like to put a few essential oil drops on my floor then go over it with the steam mop 💖
You don't even need to put the oil on the floor! You're not supposed to put it inside the steam mop, but you can dab a few drops on the cloth cover at the bottom of the mop. It won't harm the mop, it'll give you the same results and save you the effort of needing to do it over and over. :)
Perfect and toxin free. If want a fragrance, soak large pieces of citrus zest in the vinegar for 2 weeks, then strain and add the water. Gives a fragrance without oils that could streak. Also makes it a nice colour 😊
All of your videos inspire me. Your clean with me videos keep me motivated to clean my house too. I would love to see a bathroom cleaning routine next. Btw..Your son is so adorable.
Yessssss to the bathroom cleaning routine. Liz, I've said this so many times now but you are truly an inspiration and you're so beautiful. Watching your videos just make me smile.
I use vinegar in water sprayed in a dollar store sprayer then polish dry with microfibre cloth. All glass & mirrors. When laundering microfibre cleaning cloths you can't use fabric softener or dryer sheets or beads. Those clog the fibre bits. They can't go thru with towels or lint producing fabrics so best done by themselves. Don't put them through the dryer. That way they won't leave streaks & keep working.
Liz, my mom is a housekeeper and uses the Norwex microfiber cloths. They only require water, and for the windows she uses one wet then there’s another special microfiber (this one you use dry cleaning the water off the mirror) to clean mirrors and it works great! Highly recommend it.
I just love watching your videos, you always inspire me to do better so that my home can look and feel as good as yours do. I love the diffuser and also to make the home warm and having a beautiful scent. Thank you so much for your videos. Keep do them to inspire us💗
Wow I can't believe how clean you leave your whole house even after you've had a baby! You're super mom!! Your kitchen is my favorite!! You inspire me to deep clean my house :)
I love your taste in style! My sister and I were at a store called antiques and things, there was one piece we saw and we both immediately mentioned that it reminded us of you and how we would love to have you come shopping with us one day!!! Just wishful thinking but point is, I love your style and also enjoy your videos where you take us with you on your errands etc 😙💕💕
I use Young Living thieves cleaner. It's a Concentrate that I just put into a glass bottle. Safe for kids and pets. For mirrors I use that with my general e cloth and then the e cloth buffing rag. Spotless mirrors. You only need water for the e cloths (look them up) but I use the thieves for the smell. Great video!
Hi Liz! I always clean my mirrors with warm soapy water (fairy liquid) and then dry the mirror with a really dry cloth and they always sparkle. Low on chemicals too!
Sprayway is a great glass cleaner for mirrors and windows. Its a foam so it sticks to whatever surface you're spraying it on, opposed to the liquid sprays like Windex. I'm a professional house cleaner and I use it on all the homes I clean.
For glass/mirrors I use a microfiber cloth with a little bit of water on it and then I “polish” it with an E cloth. They’re amazing. Zero streaks and no little dust particles left behind. 😊 they have a window cleaning pack with the microfiber and polish rag for $13 on amazon. Definitely give it a try!
Hey Liz! I’m prob the youngest momma on here, I’m 19 but I absolutely love your videos and am in love with the way you carry yourself and how great of a momma and wife you seem! It all encourages and motivates me to do the same! Much love 💖
OMG as soon as you said duvet cover I totally felt your pain. It's seriously the worst to change!! Great video!! Your house is gorgeous! Definitely do bathrooms.
Hi I am a new subscriber and I just wanted to say I absolutely love watching all of your videos they are so encouraging, relaxing and uplifting. I love your ideas especially when it comes to your cooking recipes they always look so yummy. When ever I'm having a down day I just binge watch some of your videos and they always make me feel better. Your little boy is so handsome and you are doing a great job as a mommy! Thank you for your videos 😊
Great videos! I’m using Norwex window cleaning cloths, just water and it’s the best! I like to iron the pillowcases and the top edge of my cover sheets- tends to wrinkle in the middle- for a crisp hotel like feeling! Good job!
Love your decor. In place of windex you can use vinegar and water. The vinegar does really good on mirrors. You can use flavored oil drops so the vinegar scent is not as strong
Mrs. Meyers glass cleaner or the multi-purpose spray works really well on glass and mirrors as well. They have a variety of different scents. All the ones I have smelled so far I love. And they are natural. Mrs. Meyers is my favorite. It's also on Grove collaborative.
You do an amazing job at keeping the house clean love!!💕💕💕i use green works on our glass it works really well and has less chemicals! And ahhhh I always love seeing Sebastian he’s so adorbale!!☺️💕I love the plush rug! I wanted one so bad for our living room but ryan was saying it would be hard to clean!😂💕your kitchen is so gorgeous Liz!!! It makes me want to paint our cabinets!!😁💕loved this video!
I have dyson too and we experienced the same problem when we switched to plusher carpet. All you have to do it remove the clasps from the bottom where the roller bar is. There are two clasps in L shape on each side. Unclasp them, remove the half and then vaccuum. It would be so easy. No need for the extra force
Liz, you are doing such a great job 🖤 It’s so hard to do anything with a baby but it feels good to accomplish a to-do list too. Way to go mama. Love these lifestyle videos so much from you!
Your home is adorable. Try new vinegar glass cleaner. Or spray the windex in the cloth as opposed to in the air to reduce inhaling the windex fumes. ~Blessings to you and family.
I’m seriously OCD (literally) when it comes to cleaning and I love this lol! I love watching other people clean. My husband always tries to help but I won’t let him because he won’t clean like me lol!
Love this. If you want a chemical free way to clean glass look at the Norwex brand rags. They are awesome! You just use water and it leaves no streaks.
Check out ecloths. They have a window glass rag and you only use water and then a blue rag you dry it off with. Best rags ever. I never have any streaks!!
To clean mirrors you can try using 1:3 ratio of (1 cup) white distilled vinegar mixed with (3 cups) warm water and a couple of drops of dawn dish soap (not soapy). Leaves mirrors/glass surfaces streak free and it's a great alternative to Windex. I find it that it works better than Windex.
Alternative to Windex: 1 16 oz spray bottle, 1/2 distilled water, 1/2 white vinegar, 20 drops pure peppermint essential oil, 10 drops pure lavender essential oil. Shake, shake, shake, and it's ready to go. It's also a multi-purpose, disinfectant cleaner that can be used on pretty much any non-porous surfaces like counter tops, glass/mirrors, appliances, toilets, floors, showers and tubs, and so on. And the peppermint scent masks the vinegar smell completely and leaves an invigorating scent that'll put a little pep in your step.
Vinegar!!!! The best alternative to windex..my mirrors and windows are always SO clear! Add a little lemon essential oil if you aren’t keen on the smell :)
Hi there:) 70%Alcohol with Bounty towel great for windows and mirrors.... For the stainless steel surface ideal WD40 and of course our old bounty sheets to clean with. I hope I was helpful. Thank you!😍
I am a clean freak and i have two toddlers and 6m pregnant. I clean everyday and it became a habit to put away stuff/clean once it's used. I get ask a lot how do I keep my house so clean with kids and being pregnant! All I say is that I make time for it no matter how exhausted I am because I like waking up in the morning with clean house especially the kitchen. Toys put away (which I taught my two toddlers to put away toys once you are done, so they do whew!!) Or mama get angry lol. I used the wood cleaner for 2yrs now since I discover it and it works great for me! Love love love natural products that works for me.
Mirror tip: Water and reuse a plain white pillow case, get one side wet then wipe with dry side . That's what housekeepers use in hotels which is all natural and doesn't leave streaks.
I love the idea of the flowers and cookies after cleaning. Kind of a reward and it gives a polished result to your hard work. I was thinking of using that same solution for my wood cabinets, but would it get greasy from the cooking PLUS the olive oil?
It’s normal to forget a lot. You just had a baby and your body and mind is trying to adjust back to its normal self. Trust me I’ve been there 3x. It will get better. Just keep active, eat healthy, drink water and try to get a good nights rest. If you can’t, just take a nap whenever he naps. Blessings
Hi , l use to use windex but it was no good, so I saw decorating with Barbara and saw her using sprayway, so l bought and never use windex again , l loved it and it's amazing
You can save a lot of money using the scented beads. Put a cup full into a large cooking pot with 1 litre of water and melt them down, cool the mixture and put one cup of this into the conditioner drawer of your washing machine. it will last a lot longer this way. The same scented liquid can be used as an air freshener and makes a wonderful finisher for cleaning surfaces. I even put it in the toilet!!! if you blend the beads into powder with some soda, you can use this on your carpets and hoover it up.
Once your son starts crawling try steam mopping. You just fill up the steam mop with distilled water and the steam kills the bacteria/germs. You don’t need to use any floor cleaner, I like to put a few essential oil drops on my floor then go over it with the steam mop 💖
Dakota Marie i do the same thing with my steam mop love using cinnamon
If you have dogs that is a bit hard
You don't even need to put the oil on the floor! You're not supposed to put it inside the steam mop, but you can dab a few drops on the cloth cover at the bottom of the mop. It won't harm the mop, it'll give you the same results and save you the effort of needing to do it over and over. :)
Such a great idea I need to try this. Toddler mama with baby #2 on the way so I could really use this tip!! 💕
Use equal parts of filtered water and vinegar works perfectly no streaks
Perfect and toxin free. If want a fragrance, soak large pieces of citrus zest in the vinegar for 2 weeks, then strain and add the water. Gives a fragrance without oils that could streak. Also makes it a nice colour 😊
Your house is always so gorgeous!! even when it’s dirty I’m just like ah, that decor! 😍
Hi meg I love your channel and I have subbed from day 1 love you!
The Love Meg Multi Surface cleaner is great and works on mirrors and glass so you can ditch the Windex 😉

I never knew that. Thanks for the tip!!

Love your home! When my babies started crawling, I used a steam mop for the floor. It works amazing on tile, and no chemicals needed!
Windex with vinegar is superb ! I use it for mirrors and wooden floors .

You do an amazing job! I love playing your videos while I clean and get baby’s closet ready for his arrival ✨💕💕

I love love your kitchen and the way you have your house decorated. You have amazing taste!
I’m seriously OCD (literally) when it comes to cleaning and I love this lol! I love watching other people clean. My husband always tries to help but I won’t let him because he won’t clean like me lol!

OMG!! Your kitchen is soooooo beautiful 😍. You have great taste and style.
i think you're cleaning/organizing videos are my favorite!!! xo
Also, the method glass and surface spray smells like mint and does a great job!
You can use newspapers to wipe down your mirrors with and your regular multipurpose spray.
Great cleaning idea with the couch! I need to try that! I have to clean my kitchen every night before i go to bed or i feel sick!
Love cleaning routines!! And LOVE your beautiful home 😍😍 so nice seeing you as a new mom 🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟

alternative for windex for all windows and mirrors is regular dish soap
Great video. You can use white vinager as a windex alternative. Don't know if you are gonna like the smell but it leaves glass streak free. :)
Yes!!! There is nothing like clean sheets!
A trick to clean mirrors or windows is to wipe them with whatever spray you choose using newspaper! It does such a good job
You are making me want to clean my house now!! Great job!!
