  • I decided to try the Cambridge 1:1 diet in a bid to try and shake things up. I didn't want to do it as a long term thing as I am worried my body will go into survival mode or shut down mode. I initially wanted to do it for a month but reality hit and I could only last a week. Was quite happy with what I lost in the week though!

    Slim fast doesn't have a consultant to guard you through plus it makes you feel bloated (my personal experience) 1:1 diet is so much better it doesn't matter what diet you go on your going to always feel hungry at first, with consistency your body would get use to receiving less don't give up I know exactly where your coming from trust me you are doing a lot better than most keep going.

    This is how i did it. Wake up 1 pint of water followed by cup of black coffee with 2 sweetners... 12pm i would have a shake but i would take a sip of the shake and make it last until around 3pm. All along drinking water and green tea through out. Then 7pm i would have 2 packs together usually spag bol and another chicken tikka. I would add lettuce cucumber in the bowl. Also i would add chilli powder and garam masala for more taste. Also 2 stems of broccoli in it.. i followed that routine and it worked for me. Lost 4.5 stones in 12 weeks . I never experienced Any hunger as i was constantly drinking water black coffee green tea .

      @@SlimOnTheInside i did it about 4 years ago ive put on nearly 2 stone due to these lock downs over the last year some im back on it to shift the 2 stones. Im on day 5 now but im using the same method as before so its working out good

    I have done this diet and it really works. You dont feel the hunger as the products have high protein. I lost 2 stone on it very quickly.

    If its too sweet you can add ice and put it in the blender. Its not an easy diet I find step 2 is easier you won't feel that hungry but in the meantime just keep drinking the water and use the water flavourings they can keep the hunger at bay.

    Slim fast have a new lower sugar Keto type shakes out. I bought one tub (£12), not tried it yet! Love yr video xx

      Id really like to know what the difference is between doing 3 shakes of slimfast and 3 cambridge shakes. Im going to try it soon I think :)

      @@SlimOnTheInside keto slimfast shakes do not provide all the vitamins and minerals that you find in a cambridge 1:1 diet shake .

    Tried the Fast800 diet last year lost 2st in 8weeks, I couldn't keep it up as can't eat eggs or milk so was restricted with what I could eat. I put weight back on in lockdown (who didn't) but a year on I am not as heavy as when I started. Don't know if it's about the low GI/low sugar or the fasting for at leat 12 hrs but so was exhausted at the beginning then just stopped feeling hungry. Even now although I am not really sticking to the no/low sugar I do the fasting and I still never have the hunger like I have had all my life.

      Never heard of the fast800 I wish I could lose weight that quick lol. If I ate dust for 8 weeks I'd be lucky to lose half a pound hahaha

      I only did it for a week. It takes about me losing 2 stone for people to start noticing. I am very envious of these people who say oh I've lost 2 stone and dropped dress sizes. I'm lucky if my clothes feel a bit looser lol

      Ah it's so frustrating is t it.....I lose weight really slowly and have to lose a lot before anyone noticed and it's really disheartening isn't it. People's positive comments can give you a real boost but it's so easy to give up when you feel like you not getting anywhere. I'm cutting calories as I'm trying to make it a lifestyle change rather than a diet as I find the minute you start upping your calories after being on 800 calories a day the weight piles back on. Plus I've heard it's quite an expensive plan to follow xx

      No I haven't, only slimfast and Cambridge shakes. Are they any good?

      @@SlimOnTheInside yes it’s very good and similar to Cambridge. It’s also very affordable. It consists of shakes, bars also soups. Have a look at them!

      @@layo5750 will do :) at the minute I'm doing 3 days of slimfast shakes then 3 days 1200 calories and one day off. Just shaking it up a bit 😂

      The problem you had was the milk in the tea is enough to take you out of ketosis and then your stuck at hunger point indefinitely…. That’s also almost certainly the reason your weightloss slowed down. That little chest cost the whole diet unfortunately and that’s the nature with these diets… it needs to be done strictly without cheat meals or milk in tea. That’s ok with less strict diets

    i have never even heard of this diet .... according to the internet my ideal weight is 7stone that will never happen 😂

      I think sometimes the ideal weights are ridiculous. I dont even think my skeleton would weigh what my ideal weight is lol. Cant believe you havent heard of Cambridge diet x
