Coco coir is very good for seeds. I also do the wheel barrow method but no knife needed let it soak and same results. Just use hands when impatient waiting. Good for gardens mixing into soil cause coco air does absorb water and cuts back on a lot of watering all the time. The way I do it by shaving the brick into the wet mix makes the soil much drier for immediate use.
