Oh yes they absolutely can call a penalty at any point in the game. What you absolutely cannot do is have a player commit a foul right in front of the ref (no matter how many times he got away with it already) which sets up the game winning score with no time left to recover.

Eagles were a great team this year, but they really weren't tested very much. And they got outplayed by the Chiefs' DL for much of the game, but especially the second half. The entire season came down to, the best player the league has ever seen, not being stopped in the second half. The only yard the Chiefs didn't pick up in the second half was the McKinnon slide at the one.
UM cause the NFL used an untest grass that never should have been used, let alone try it out for the superbowl! They lost cause the couldn't make adjustments. NFL is a joke now! Betting has had an obvious inpact on results. Chiefs "best" oline in the league was literally tackling defense linemen and no calls.

If you're in the first few rows in the upper levels the view is fine, plus you can see what's going on during every play. I've found sitting in the lower levels it's hard to see every play and at times I end up watching the scoreboard. In the end it's all about the experience.

If it wasn't an endzone play, it probably wouldn't have been called. Holding on an obvious scoring play is judged differently than a middle of the field play. Especially it being a possible game winning score. The flag isn't thrown until after the ball hits the endzone. That would be why they were "letting them play" during most of the game but not during that situation. IMO

Every year I hear people saying, "The refs should not make those calls, they should let them play" in the post-season. It's exactly the opposite. When it is the big games that matter the most, that is when the refs should be at their MOST diligent. The games that don't matter, like the Pro Bowl, that's where the refs should let the small stuff go. Although the replays they showed during the game didn't show the holding call very well, other camera angles that were shared later showed it a lot better, and it was 100% a good call (even the player who got the flag came out and said it was a legit call). That was a holding call that would have been called in any game, because it affected the intended receiver.

Holding penalty: The ball may have been uncatchable. All Bradberry had to do was keep his hands off the WR. You don't want to give the refs an excuse to throw a flag at the end of a game. If I was the cornerback, I'd keep my hands off of the WR.

If it wasn't an endzone play, it probably wouldn't have been called. Holding on an obvious scoring play is judged differently than a middle of the field play. Especially it being a possible game winning score. The flag isn't thrown until after the ball hits the endzone. That would be why they were "letting them play" during most of the game but not during that situation. IMO

Stop blaming the refs! We could also argue they blew the second Defensive TD call. When it was a catch and football move then fumble that was overturned for 6pts. The Eagles D was a no show and got out coached and outclassed. The Eagles are a great team,they were just beat by a better one.

It was such a great game.Both teams deserved to win. Unfortunately we didn't have the ending we wanted. Still, it was a GREAT GAME.
Every year I hear people saying, "The refs should not make those calls, they should let them play" in the post-season. It's exactly the opposite. When it is the big games that matter the most, that is when the refs should be at their MOST diligent. The games that don't matter, like the Pro Bowl, that's where the refs should let the small stuff go. Although the replays they showed during the game didn't show the holding call very well, other camera angles that were shared later showed it a lot better, and it was 100% a good call (even the player who got the flag came out and said it was a legit call). That was a holding call that would have been called in any game, because it affected the intended receiver.

Holding penalty: The ball may have been uncatchable. All Bradberry had to do was keep his hands off the WR. You don't want to give the refs an excuse to throw a flag at the end of a game. If I was the cornerback, I'd keep my hands off of the WR.
