  • Paul Robeson's performance in the taboo adaptation of Eugene O'Neal's play. This film was made in 1933 and rejected by a large segment of the Black American community. Although, the movie shows excellent acting and storytelling, "The Emperor Jones" supports negative black stereotypes.
