When you see the orange icon in this video, you'll know you've arrived at The Zip activity area at the Summit. The Zip is actually miles of cable, zigging and zagging above the national jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. These are some of the most amazing zip lines in the whole world.

The national jamboree is Scouting's largest event. Every 4 years, the BSA brings together 40,000 Scouts and Venturers for fellowship, leadership, fun, and high adventure. The Summit is the new, permanent home for the national jamboree.

Some of the world's best architects, engineers and high adventure designers have been guiding construction crews, who've been working 2 shifts a day, 6 days a week for much of the time since construction began in late 2010. (Just a note, though: Not all of these facilities pictured in the video are actually at the Summit; rest assured, however, they'll look even better!)
The Summit Bechtel Reserve is 10,600 acres of the best of Scouting - high adventure like rock climbing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, zip lines and ropes courses. And, there's all the traditional Scouting action, too: shooting sports, archery, pioneering, leadership, team-building, and more.
