    Switch the geo to 67.0 deg head angle, and it will go most anywhere you have the skills to go. Taller riders (> 6 ft) will want to get on the nose of the saddle for steep seated climbing due to short chainstays and slack seat tube (esp. in the 67 deg HA configuration).

      Jonathan S I know this is a year old comment but nevertheless I have this bike. Personally I’m a huge fan of bikes that do everything and this ticks all the boxes because it _can_ do it all. I’ll admit it can’t do downhill like a downhill bike because a downhill bike is better for the job. But I like a bike that can do it all and this does (majority of it it does exceptionally).

    I can't decide between this bike and remedy, but I think this bike is more for cross country, there’s so much different between the 130 of this and 150 mm of remedy? Thanks

    • @MaxMustermannnnnn
      @MaxMustermannnnnn 5 лет назад

      Saúl Goyas the Remedy has 27,5 inch wheels. I own the Fuel EX8 an its a lot of bike for its money. I ride really hard terrain and the suspension has enough travel. Maybe not for big jumps in bikeparks. But its possible if this is only because i have 110kg. I would say if you ride in bikeparks often go for the remedy, if not go for the fuel ex. 29 inch wheels are very good for all terrains.

    The newer version of the Line dropper is much better. The newer one is identifiable because it doesn’t have the silver ring on top of the dust seal. The plus version comes with 140mm front travel and the bike feels much more aggressive. Just put a DVO Diamond on mine and now it’s even better!

    What about putting a 150 fork and 27.5+ tires??? Any thoughts????

    • @basstrom88
      @basstrom88 4 года назад

      You shouldn't put a 150 fork on as it will void the Trek warranty (max is 140mm), and will also slacken the seat tube too much. People have done it, but there are better bikes for that.
      I have an EX8 2019 and I changed the 130mm fork air shaft out for a 140mm version and it was a nice upgrade. The 2017 version has the same frame and came out as a 27.5+ version with a 140mm fork, so it seems to be possible.

    • @MaxMustermannnnnn
      @MaxMustermannnnnn 5 лет назад

      It is great for booth. On road the tyres make a difference. Now i have Conti Baron on my bike and the have more rolling resistance than the stock xr4 tyres. Offroad i think grip is more important than rolling resistance. But its because of the tyres not of the bike,. And its a mountainbike not a roadbike so i ride offroad. I only use roads to go to the trail and i dont care if i need few seconds longer to go to the trail.
