    Looks as though some people are just to Ah..... Unmotivated to do anything! Suggestions, I will make these like you did, scan it into an image on my computer and add all the denominations on the rolls so they look like regular coin rolls. You can scan the printing off a real coin roll and paste it into the image. Can still be black and white but will be decorated already after printing. Also the lines drawn that show can be changed to dashes every 3 or 4 spaces, or period's to make it not so noticeable, thus allowing you to print everything on 1 side of paper. Great Video!

    Some don’t have a roll to work with and can’t get one for free from the bank. Could you please give exact measurements.

    You must not value your time, I can buy 1000 preformed wrappers for $13 a case, even if I only valued my time at $10 an hour it's cheaper to buy them. I suppose if you are only rolling pocket change it wouldn't matter, but if that's the case you can get them from the bank. Also, unless you want your wrappers to break when you fill them, you do need to be fairly accurate with your folds and glue, otherwise they can end up too small and the coins won't fit, too loose they won't hold a crimp.
    Also, do not wrap anything numismatically valuable in printer paper, the paper was processed with sulfuric acid and will ruin copper or silver coins!

    • @TheCoinChannel
      @TheCoinChannel  2 года назад

      Good point! You are absolutely right about the acid process. Sure, the process is faster if you just get them premade, but the whole DIY process is a lot of fun to do, and perhaps somebody out there likes it as well, which is why I decided to make the vid :) It takes a little trial and error, but it is possible to get them to be the right size, which is all part of the experimentation. Thank you for watching the video, by the way :)

    Fantastic thanks for the info. Also can they be used in a electronic coin machine ?👍👍👍👍👍

      Hey, JOGO. Thank you for your comment! As far as I know, the paper is too thin and isn't tough enough to use in an electronic coin machine. So unfortunately, you'll likely need to stick with your standard ready-made coin wrapper tubes to have an easy time using the machine.

    So what do you do after you print them out exactly? I'm a little confused!

      Hey, thank you for the reply! Here's a little imgur gallery that I put together showing how I put it together in a bit more detail. Feel free to ask if something doesn't make sense to you!

    If you made this coin wrapper and put coins in it and go exchange at the bank do the bank take it

    • @TheCoinChannel
      @TheCoinChannel  3 года назад +2

      Yes, they should be able to! Just be sure it is properly labelled, filled to the right amount, and they will gladly take it! However, they may want the coins dumped in a bag, or for you to use their coin counting machine, so just verify with your bank what is best for them and for you :) Thanks for stopping on by and commenting, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions as well!

    With all that work that you're asking us to do through your video and all that stuff we have to do also with it I might just go to the store and buy me a real coin holder or corn roller cuz you are just out there guy you got too much time in your hand

    • @TheCoinChannel
      @TheCoinChannel  2 года назад

      I won't deny: buying the coin wrappers is the easiest and fastest thing to do, but honestly, I just like making things for fun, and I still believe that this is a fun little project for those who are into the DIY lifestyle. No shame in going to pick up wrappers at the store, I just liked making this and havin' a little fun 😁 Total waste of time, sure, but I just like makin' things just to say I did it, and being satisfied with my own work makes up for that time taken. Thanks for checking out the video, though. Much appreciated.

    I've gotten a lot of circulated coins as part of my newly started numismatics hobby and I've taken to organizing my collection by country and KM reference code. Sometimes it's only a few coins and sometimes it's a whole lot of them. Whenever I get more than 10 of something, I roll them in copy paper. NOTE: the copy paper I use is compliant with ISO 9706 standard, being acid-free.
    I just cut an A4 in half until I get slips that are as long as the coin circumferance plus some bit of extra, then I roll the stack in paper, crimping or folding the ends until the stack is fully enclosed. Then I tape it off. Rarely do I need anything larger than A7.
    Whilst pre-made rolls would be nice for my collection, I got coins from all over the world, so uniformity in rolls doesn't really work.

      Great method, glad to see someone else getting use out of copy paper. Good stuff! I hope your collection has been going strong these days.

      @@TheCoinChannel Yeah, my next step is looking at a rather hefty bulk of PVC-exposed coins that I've sorted by material and getting ready to soak them in acetone to get the gunk off.
      I've also got a number of 2x2'd coins that need the same.

    • @TheCoinChannel
      @TheCoinChannel  2 месяца назад

      @Tounushi Sounds like an adventure! I wish you the best. I also have a few PVC-spotted coins that need work, fortunately nothing too valuable. I've been getting into searching foreign coin bins that sell for cheap, and making some decent gains when it comes to spending them in the countries I visit. I need to get into building world coin type sets, there's so many great coins to look for out there.

    Could have written on the master before printed! Just save time, think it is a great project!

    • @TheCoinChannel
      @TheCoinChannel  2 года назад

      That is true! On the newer rolls I went ahead and wrote on the master sheet. Very good idea, and I think I should remake this project in the future and use more accurate drawings, maybe share a link to the sheets as well. Thank you so much for watching.
