Everything started so well with Orys and Aegon, aside from beign half brothers, were truly best friends
Yeah after Orys i don’t think there was any Baratheon close to Targaryens , just after Orys died Rogar Baratheon ruined the relationship and i don’t think it got any better than that .
I wish they also could've explored a bit of Tywin and Steffon's relationship. The three of them Tywin Steffon and the Mad King spent their youths together after all. And it's not really explored what happened between Steffon and Tywin after the latter resigned as hand

@@cureforintroversion1262 Meleys could be a match for Vhagar the same way Caraxes was. The only reason Meleys lost was because it was a 2v1 fight against Vhagar and Sunfyre and even then she took Sunfyre down with her.

well, this is all because we have the luxury of hindsight. i don't think there was any prior reason why rhaenyra would assume that borros wouldn't honor his predecessor's fealty to rhaenyra, which is precisely why she assumed this to be an easy bag for sweet luke to take home, AND he gets to go on an official mission that's very close to dragonstone. it just all seemed like an easy W for the blacks at the time.
@@nathanielartosilla9110I get where you're coming from but it wouldn't come to a straight dragon fight. It'd be more about the intimidation factor of having a fully adult dragon, and while maeleys is powerful and fast, vhagar is just severely more intimidating to a lord, be it from the sheer size alone, or the history of the dragon literally burning half the continent to conquer it. I still think Storms End would go with the greens due to this.
That moment when you realize House Baratheon is just House Targaryen under a different name. They're basically just dark haired Targaryens, due to Orys being a bastard of Aerion Targaryen.
I think the Baratheons are actually the Durrandons under another name. Except for Orys himself, every other Baratheon can trace thier lineage directly back to the Storm Kings thanks to Argella. And besides that the House also uses Argella's house sigil and house words as thier own, symbolisms that Orys himself did not have as a bastard Targaryen.
They are more Durrandon than Targaryen, they have the blue eyes of their Durrandon ancestors
To add more reading the history of Durrandons it seems that the trait of being impulsive,energetic,passionate and short tempered actually comes from the Durrandons.
It's only a rumour that Orys is a Targaryen basterd it's not proved 💯💯

I hated the fact the writers in HOTD aren’t showing female nature like how the books did. Like Alicent being a bitch but still honorable woman and Rhaenyra being a lying and scheming woman. Or how the Baratheon sister instigated Aemond to attack jace, women are master manipulators they shouldn’t shy away from that fact to make the to lead women look good give us the real shit like how they did with Cersei

i suppose you missed the entire part where they keep mentioning how rhaenyra's 3 kids are STRONG kids and her denying this to the death. or that alicent always knew that it's her father's prime goal to get her to have targ babies to compete with rhaenyra. i mean, did you even watch the show at all? wasn't it alicent who insisted to have luke's eye be taken out, as in an eye for an eye? and even early on, young rhaenyra lied through her teeth about that encounter with daemon in the pleasure house. alicent also clearly doesn't love his son aegon, but she will clean up his f*uck ups like giving moon tea to the serving girl he graped, because she now took it upon herself to make him as presentable as possible to be future king. and rhaenyra, just imagine acting all nice to the velaryons for years knowing well that they all know those babies aren't laenor's, and the only reason they haven't publicly declared against her is because the lie also protects laenor.
i mean, if those aren't manipulators, i don't understand what kind of manipulators you're looking for. george didn't exactly write cersei 2.0 in fire and blood, and it's quite lazy writing if that's what you're looking for.

Are the Baratheon genes the crazy one's or those of the Durrandons? We are not to forget that when Orys killed Argilac the latter's daughter Argella was just as ferosious as her father, as much as she had to be betrayed by her own garrison in oder to give up Storm's End to Orys and marry him afterwards.

The lore explains that original name and house Baratheon from the storm king. The last storm king after hurricane battle hand Orys his daughter and heir for being honorable warrior to beat him. Which is so badass.

The difference is Robert is just a regular guy, a little lord of Storm's End, who is a womeniser and already has a known bast*rd... But Rhaegar on the other hand is the Crown Prince of the Realm, and not only that. Rhaegar was the most beautiful Human Being to ever exist in this Universe, in addition he is an Elite warrior and an even Better Singer with Extremely Charming, Attractive Personality but also is Mysterious in whole other level. So connect the dots here and U'll understand her Decision of a teen dumb lady. And there's also this Falling in love theory of the Knight of the laughing tree, So there's that as well...

In short every man in the Realm wanted to be him and every women wanted to be with him. That's Rhaegar's reputation. That's why it is so much of a shock for everyone that he did what he did. So hope U understand...

The Targaryen were leech Lords, landlords of a foreign people. Refusing to interact or breed with them to keep their blood pressure from the comments. Jaehaerys the conciliator was the first true ruler of a people and not some landlord with a dragon.

Rhaenys originally was described as having silver hair in The Princess and the Queen. It was changed in later works, presumably because it suggests that the "magic" Baratheon hair can, in certain circumstances, be supplanted. Personally, I like Rhaenys with silver hair --- not only does is explain why everyone in the south hasn't become black haired (as you might expect if Baratheon hair always won out, given the way noble families intermarry) but it also leaves just a little doubt as to how unbiased/ logical Ned's reasoning is.
I think all old noble families has strong genes, But in a Order like baratheon over Lannister and minor Houses, tully over stark and etc

Rheanys having white hair in HoTD, doesn’t make Ned’s scene, reading the Baratheon traits dumb, in GoT. If you notice, he only reads all male Baratheon names. Inferring, the dark hair trait, is consistent in the male Baratheons. Shireen, Stannis Baratheon’s daughter, has blonde hair in the tv show GoT. Personally, I think they should’ve Prince Valarr’d, Rheanys’ hair, in HoTD. Gave her a darker shade of blonde with a platinum streak. But, I get what they were trying to do. Keep the emphasizes on the Strong boys hair color and not soo much skin tone. Since, most quarter Black and three quarter white people, tend to look white, anyway.
