@@keithjames4658 great question! It is normal for automakers to lose money when they’re being established. Tesla was losing money up until 2022. As of right now Lucid received large investment as I mentioned in the video and bankruptcy is not happening. At least for now. And I’m hoping they will get established and start making money on every car they sell bc they deserve it
Well, someone’s bias is showing here! The Saudi’s own this company, and the fact that you didn’t disclose that information right up front, puts you in the suspect pool of those who have some type of conflicted interest in seeing a company survive/succeed in an otherwise very competitive marketplace. So had you disclose that information, you would have preserved your credibility as a reviewer who’s not in anyway conflicted about the product/company, that they’re reviewing. It should be noted, that you didn’t show the lucid air beside a Tesla Model S, and so was that deliberate? Why did you avoided doing that, as it makes me question why? It is also disputable that this gentleman, Peter Rawlinson, was the chief architect or designer of the Tesla model S, as it’s reported, that he was not the chief designer, he did, however, notably worked on the design team at Tesla that came up with the design of the Tesla Model S, that I am currently driving today. So lucid is in financial trouble, and at some point, even the Saudi’s are going to start questioning it’s viability in the marketplace under current economic conditions, and at some point investors are going to also become weary of the fact that this company simply cannot make a profit for them, therefore, they too will start to move their money in another direction, and so unless this Company can come up with something that can compete with Tesla, they’ve got a problem don’t you think? Cheers 🥂
@@theodorehaskins3756 ofc they have a problem. They’re a new company that is trying to make it in very competitive market as you said it yourself. The Saudi Arabia company just recently invested 1.5B company and became major shareholder and that’s why I didn’t disclose that bc it’s very recent and it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still publicly traded company. Not sure how not disclosing that makes me a bias? Everything else I mentioned and showed in the video is factual and appears to be true
@ So I have no interested in dissecting everything you said here, but if it wasn’t for the Saudi fund, lucid would already be a name nobody remembers, and it’s not about whether or not they got a good product, it just the wrong product that simply isn’t selling well in the marketplace. So are you an investor in lucid? Do you own the product?
@ I’m just a guy loving cool cars. Why would you assume that I’d be an investor? Where’s logic in that? Also Saudi Arabia investment fund came in very recently. Lucid was already established as a brand. Not sure why you keep bringing it up

Lucid is still loosing money on every car they sell. Lucid is in danger of going BK. What happens if Licid files BK and who will they merge with?

Not sure why you keep bringing it up
BMW i7 M70 Executive is way better! Check it out
@@PranksOnPranks you think it looks better too?
@@redasthecolor Yes it is gorgeous. It has diamond glass headlights and it has a 31 inch 8K touchscreen and massaging recliner seats.

How does lucid even compare to Chinese ev auto makes. And the ev battery technology of china..
@@mrbabyears Chinese definitely up there now from what I’ve seen and heard. It’s matter of time now before Chinese cars outpace every automaker in the USA
@redasthecolor Yes, china if hasn't already, will be the number one car maker in the world.
This wasn't a review, it was a shameless all-out glazing 😂. Well done though. I think there are legit concerns about service and if the company will exist long-term.
@@Daniel_Capital that’s exactly what I wanted to cover and tell the story of the Lucid. I’m not super into giving straight up factual reviews like that. I’ll leave that to daddy Doug DeMuro :)

Get an S plaid for $55k instead
@@sasukesuite1 nah, Tesla is gay for one, too far from being luxurious for two and lastly too poorly built compared to the Lucid. Lucid is literally what Model S should’ve been in the first place. Why on earth would I buy the worst version for the same money?! lol
At least Tesla will still exist in 2 years LOL
@ it’s funny how you ask the same question I ask when I see Revuelto owners spend $600k on a slow Lambo when they could have bought a $50k Plaid.
@ it’s not about the speed my man. Going fast isn’t special anymore. I can buy used Model 3 performance that goes 0-60 in 3 seconds for 16-18k.
It’s about driving experience and engagement and that’s something Tesla never achieved so far.
Lucid on the other hand is actually a great driver’s car despite being an EV. In fact it was named “the best handling sedan ever made” by many reputable and respected car people
