24 Hours in Gjellerup Enge - Ege Carpets

Gjellerup Enge is an award-winning biodiversity project that turns nature back into its original wild state surrounding the Ege Carpets headquarters in Herning, the project is the first of its kind at this scale in Denmark.
Ege Carpets have donated 28 of the total 90 hectares, and the area consists of meadow, bog, stream, forest and scrub with a rich plant, insect and animal life. Ege Carpets furthermore included their almost iconic bisons thrive in the large paddock by the reception, and a herd of wild horses have free access to the rest of the area.
