Why not take the free rental car bus to the little pickup spot. The blue line station (Middletown) is a 5-minute walk from that. Save $2.50.

The 992 bus runs every 15 minutes, took 10 minutes to get to American Plaza, then 40 minutes to the border. Trolley to the Mexico entrance about 200 yards.
Total $5 one way compared to $40 one way with Uber or Lyft
