Great and needed video. This seems like something the SEC is not going to like however.
IMHO, from day 1 of the launch of ASI, the price will just shoot way way high (like launching a new coin at very low price) that makes today’s FET price history. Everyone wins including AGIX and OCEAN holders despite smaller number of ASI coins after conversion. Just my expectation. Not financial advice.
Day 2 then come way back down to find support prior to skyrocketing to the moon then back down to earth for support then back up again consolidating at resistance testing new lows prior to reaching all time highs. Not financial advice

As exciting as it may sound, the dilution of supply will not exactly be a 1-1 exchange for the FET token. Also, we will be looking at a "new project" when the merger hits. For me, FET is superior to the other 2 projects so it doesn't really make sense for FET holders. With higher supply of coins, it also means the price would be harder to move as well. Took my profit and I am out of FET and will be back if there is any good things happening with ASI. Not willing to hold the bag for the time being as there are a lot other projects that could gain much more in this period of uncertainty.
I think all the projects add something to eachother to build a much more robust ecosystem, the likes of which may be able to compete with the centralized AI companies
FET nearly went bankcrupt .. AGIX is a pretty strong project , I'm more worried for the others.

NFA of course....but I think the best opportunity will be after the new token launches after the initial selloff. No way to know for sure but how many times have we NOT seen a sell the news event? Big gains to be made in the bull.

It doesn't matter if the prices are different now, whatever dollar value you have currently of fet is the same dollar value you'll have of the new coin 1 to 1

If the proposal receives majority approval from the respective communities, the following will occur:
- $FET will be rebranded as $ASI, with a total supply of 2.63055 billion tokens
- $AGIX tokens migrate to $ASI, at a conversion rate of 0.433350:1
- $OCEAN tokens migrate to $ASI, at a conversion rate of 0.433226:1
- If the FDV of all three tokens as of March 26, 2024 were carried over fully into $ASI, it would have a total combined FDV of $7.6 billion USD.

No. It will be an even 1:1 swap from FET to ASI. No value lost in any of the 3 when merged.

@valant No, the article says the exchange rate for OCEAN and AGIX of .43:1 is fixed. Not the dollar value for FET. The $2.82 in the article was only for reference, as FET’s price was $2.82 at the time of publication. FET is fixed at 1:1 so if FET is $5 after the merger, then ASI will also be $5. No value will be lost for any of the 3 tokens.

"AGIX Calculation:
Current price of AGIX: $1.31
Conversion ratio: 1 AGIX ≈ 0.433350 ASI
$100 / $1.31 (current price of AGIX) ≈ 76.34 AGIX
76.34 AGIX * 0.433350 ASI ≈ 33.11 ASI
If you hold onto $100 worth of AGIX, you would receive approximately 33.11 ASI.
FETCH Calculation:
Current price of FETCH: $3.10
Conversion ratio: 1 FETCH ≈ 1 ASI
$100 / $3.10 (current price of FETCH) ≈ 32.26 FETCH
32.26 FETCH * 1 ASI ≈ 32.26 ASI
If you convert $100 worth of FETCH to ASI, you would receive approximately 32.26 ASI.
Comparing the two scenarios:
Holding onto $100 worth of AGIX would result in approximately 33.11 ASI.
Converting $100 worth of FETCH to ASI would result in approximately 32.26 ASI.
Therefore, in this scenario, holding onto AGIX instead of converting to FETCH would yield slightly more ASI tokens, resulting in a slightly higher 1:1 ratio compared to holding FETCH."
But fetch isn't locked but other two are so I just swapped into fetch so I didn't have to move agix in an out of wallet which cost even more

@shannondail3878 That’s definitely incorrect and not what .43:1 means. The dollar value in your wallet won’t change. The number of tokens you have will decrease, but the amount per token will increase the exact same amount. Example: If it were a .50:1 ratio and you had 1,000 tokens worth $1.50 each, your dollar value = $1,500. In this scenario, your tokens would go down to 500 (at .50:1), but each token would now be worth $3, giving you the exact same dollar value of $1,500. Hope this helps. I believe this merger will be a great move.

FET is currently over 3usd they are using that as ASI at 2.82usd I'd like to hear how they deal with this, you'd like to think value will be preserved and based on the current price but that's not what they said. Does every FET user lose money? They repeat strongly the initial price is 2.82 and they are renaming the token.
Value is preserved. They cleared that up on Twitter Spaces. They only said $2.82 as a reference because that was the price when article published. If FET is $5, then ASI will be $5. No value lost.

This may be an appallingly ignorant question, but how does the token benefit from the work of these companies? I mean, it’s not like a stock into which the company’s value is divided, right? So is the value correlation totally psychological?

Sell your tokens before launch of $ASI and the inevitable dump. Then you can reinvest after the sell the news event.

If you hold on an exchange like Coinbase, your FET, OCEAN, and AGIX will get re-labeled as ASI. If you hold outside of an exchange, you can migrate to the new token

How can they be decentralized when the run on IPFS/AWS. The only decentralized AI running on chain is on ICP. You said it yourself they are 'independent' entities. They have no obligation to deliver on the road map, and even if they operate with good intention they are still vulnerable to companies like amazon and nation states.

Merging is not a good idea imo. They probably split fet, ocean and agix shares.
FET is valued over $3 but we have swap them for ASI tokens valued under $3

@simonharvey90 if you hold AGIX or OCEAN on the merge you only get 43% of the tokens you hold in the ASI token.
So if you have say 500 AGIX or OCEAN you will get 215 ASI in the merger. But that 215 ASI will equal the total value of the 500 AGIX or OCEAN.

There is an argument for & against your point….
You may loose slightly with the merge in $$ value initially (10K AGIX with reduce to 4.33K @ $2.82per token), however this alliance will bring massive attention & profile to the new $ASI token, consequently bringing in far more liquidity far quicker!!!
@jaycole3768 It’s .43:1 FET at FET’s current price at time of merger. The $2.82 number was only for reference, as that’s what FET’s price was at time of publication. No value will be lost. FET’s current pice ($3.23) multiplied by .43335 = $1.39 per AGIX token, which is actually $.02 higher in value than the current price of $1.37. I believe this merger will be great for us.

I’m having trouble figuring out how this is good in the short term for FET holders. If the price will begin at $2.82 and the tokens are 1:1 with ASI, anyone who buys FET now at $3 or more is losing money on this deal.
I think what may be happening is they look at the balance of the wallets and that won’t change but amount of coins will be different. Ex
Say your balance is 4000 in Fet you will have the same balance .. just a lower amount of coins held since they cost more.. vs what you hold now … 5000 dollars in Fet = 6000 coins is 5000 dollars
vs ASI 3000 coins is 5000 dollars :::::: same dollar amount just different quantity
Makes no sense if it's one to one on the amount of tokens

Snapshot was taken on March 25th. The ASI token will open at $2.82. They expect the arbitragers will even everything out price wise. But either way, no matter what the price of FET is at the merge, the 1 to 1 swap to ASI is worth $2.82 each. And the 0.43335 to 1 swap of AGIX will give those holders less total ASI token than the number of AGIX they held. But the ASI still opens at $2.82 for everyone.
You want to swap because FET won't have value after the merge. The market caps combine into ASI and the liquidity of the other 3 is pulled and gone. You could sell FET early at the higher price and hope to buy in ASI at the $2.82 and gain value but I guess you risk losing if it pumps very fast and you miss it. Who knows, it may tank. That's the gamble
