Hey Joseph! Great video and interesting process. I love seeing people getting together to share in their passions. I live in Altoona pa and I’m a blacksmith and also a veteran and love getting together with other smiths to work on projects together . Well done brother!
Great work! Looking forward to see more videos about wet plate!
You did only 3 sec indoors???? I can hardly make that happen with F2!!! Must have been a super bright day?
Oh I feel this...
When I first got into wet plate collodion I didn't understand just how important lighting would be to the process, and that was after studying the process for months before fully committing to buying into the process with proper equipment & chemistry.
I was making exposures upwards of 8-10 minutes and barley seeing results. (this was indoors and I was using only window light.)
I now have a proper flash unit, 3 softboxes and 2 small continuous key lights.
Using all of these lights at the same time I can get a proper exposure indoors at about 1-3 seconds.
@@thomas_dries yeah, I´m searching for some suitable lights:-) but for now it´s the great outdoors and ´hatting´ fun with my big diy 8x10.
Cool to see two tintypists who I look up to working together. ✌🏽
