Cerros de Mavecure Orinoco River in Colombia from above with Drone

The Cerros de Mavecure are located in the Guainía department, in the South-East of Colombia, not far from the border with Venezuela and Brazil. The Cerros are composed of 3 mountains of granite rock: the Pajarito Mount at 712m, Monos at 480m and Mavecure at 170m. They can be accessed by the Inirida River in two hours in speedboat.
In that same region, several rivers have their source Orinoco river, Atabapo river, Inirida river and Guaviare river, forming a “Fluvial Star”. While travelling on these rivers, you can observe some rare species of dolphins, pink and grey. The Cerros de Mavecure are a destination that can be visited all year, the average temperature is 35°C with a humid climate.
You can make a very strong connection with Colombia's roots by going hiking in the mountains, off the beaten tracks accompanied by a guide, to admire the impressive panoramic view from the top.
