The Gweru antelope park used to be partially owned by my late grandfather, and all the bookings used to be done just up the road from the park at his other business, the fairmile motel, which I believe goes by the Regency hotel fairmile these days. And has also changed their logo to the obviously stolen, Holden motor company logo. Excellent video, loved it. Dying to get back to Africa some day. Melbourne is a stark difference
I am from Zim but live here in Atlanta USA. I haven't been back in Zim for almost 20 years and I am planning for my family and I to visit home and enjoy what the country has to offer. my wife and kids have never been to Zim before...and everyone is looking forward to it
You guys are incredible. Would love to invite you to our program close to Harare so that you can have a feel of it. I am sure you will love our Rhino conservation program at Lake Chivero
yu are well come to Zimbabwe guyz ,we need yu realy come and stay open business and make Zim great again we love yu so much and we are well come yu in peace and homony .
Samson Mafuka When you had white please, you chased them away, murdered farmers and burned their homes thinking that you will be better off without them . I guess NOT. He he ....
Martin's Travels I think they kind of are.. they are doing promotional things for them I remember correctly. If you look at goeco's website most pictures are of them and ones they took for the projects they have done.
So sad to see this - any wild animal interaction has a sad back story A when these 'cute' lions are too big they are often sold to hunters as easy targets. Places like this hide behind words like research and rescue all the time. How many lions do you think they go through in a year for tourist pleasure.... Lions in cages - not cute - too used to being fed to ever be released = sold. Elephants in pens - hate to think of their story. Think of land animals behind fences as a dolphin at SeaWorld - there for human pleasure as a money machine. Voluntourism is a massive industry and not always what it seems . I hope one day you can get on a safari truly in the wild and see a real wild and free lion - THAT is an incredible experience
Its a complex issue. Most of us want to see wildlife used in a way that is sustainable and ensures it is still there in the future. In this case I think you have a point: if tourists can interact with a tame lion, they might not bother to go on safari to get a glimpse of a truly wild animal in its natural environment. Most tourists are probably not even aware of how important the distinction is.
having been to Antelope Park and talking first hand with the director, this is not true. They make every effort to rescue and rehabilitate animals for wildlife release, and never, under any circumstances, would they allow these beautiful animals to be killed. When they are kept in captivity its to protect them from human poachers, not the other way around.
If the truth be told, Zimbabwe is far from incredible. Wildlife aside, Zim has NOTHING to offer, not even for it's own people. Corruption and mismanagement is what Zim will be remembered for; ask the 4-million who ran away to SA. It's a totally failed state that will take decades to recover.
dude, you're on every video about Zim Tourism. Yet you clearly passionately hate Zimbabwe. Yours is a very unhealthy obsession. I suggest you don't watch the videos or continue to eat yourself commenting ill about Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe will not stop being amazing just because you say it a thousand times.
Leonardo Lupini this is nothing to do with politics we love our visters like this we children of zimbabwe we need any tribe blue red white or what ever ,if yu dont wanna visit our country its okey we dont beg people yo visit our country
Taking farms away just because the owner is white is unhealthy. Unemployment at 80 percent is unhealthy. Disfunctional health service is unhealthy. Rigging election after election is unhealthy too....
alayina halera you are in denial! Zimbabweans never get the chance to do this they haven't got jobs they can't travel to see the animals some have never seen a lion or an elephant in real life!
