Tomica limited vintage is amazing, you forgot to test out the functional suspension too!
One thing Tomica always does better than any other brand is glass, the clarity and smoothness is always top notch!

Don't forget to save the TLV with a little extra effort to avoid paint rash.

Good to see you’re getting hooked on TLV it’ll get expensive 😁… you’ll see! 😂
I actually have this casting which was the third one I snagged 2-3 years ago now. The paint rash is more of an issue if you live in hot humid places - mine is subtropical Queensland, so I’m on a hiding to nothing …. But you can ameliorate any future paint issues by giving your models a wax & polish with carnuba wax (trust me it works).

@marekhalas2438 Thanks for that advice for the paint rash! I have never once had an issue with paint thankfully

Lcd better than tlv at half the cost. I just wish they had more range 😢

I have around 20-25 TLV and while they’re very good, I do think they’re overpriced and have their flaws. A lot have wing mirrors that need to glued on (why?) and some don’t even have them?! The plugs they use for their front and rear lights are often ugly and inaccurate (like on this 911). Finally, the paint quality is not always great, I’ve had some flat spots and dull finishes and believe they are susceptible to paint rash unfortunately. On a positive though, they have a great range and offer true-to-life accuracy, I just think other brands have overtaken them now. They are cool to collect so hope you enjoy 👍🏼

Yes! I love tomica limited vintage! They have far and away the best R33 GTR in 1:64 scale. The 4 TLV models I have are the closest I've seen to perfection in 1:64. I just wish they were easier to buy and had better model selection. Don't bother with tomica premium or the base tomica either. They're nowhere near mini gt in terms of quality

@KillerChihuahua387 Yeah Limited Vintage are the only ones I'll be buying. Glad to hear you've had great experiences with them!

@@Booster_Diecast @KillerChihuahua387 TLV has an AMAZING model selections. Please give me a Hinio Contessa, Prince Clipper, Subaru Sambar, Honda T360, anytime over the 7th R32 from the 6th brand. I haven't done the counting, but if you only collect the Nissan R32s, R33s, R34s, and R35s, you could probably add well over 100 different models to your collection each year, across different brands, colors and body styles.
My favorite brands right now are the TLV and XCarToys just because of the eclectic model selection. But I perfectly understand what you are saying, if you want the usual Nissan, LBWK and Pandem, then TLV is not for you. Luckily, pretty much every other brand is for you.
That being said, last week I got my R35 in midnight purple from TLV and that thing is amazing. The body lines are as good as they get, but it is worth its price just for the paint quality.

Good catch this is one of the few tomica models which is good. Personally I never found any value in TLV. Their main craze is for the Ferrari IP in 64 but even that has seen a lot of QC issues in the last few releases. And the price is honestly not justified.
I recently got the pair of 400r and the price I am paying not getting any case, and even the model finishes are not up to the mark.
That was like my 3rd and probably last TLV. My friend was trying to convince me for along time, but Nah I can pass TLV.

@archan_ghosh Huh that's interesting. Well I definitely like this Porsche and I also want to get a Lamborghini Countach and a couple Miuras. If I have good experiences with those castings I'll go from there. I think the Ferraris are overpriced especially since we have Tarmac Works, Centauria, and BBR making them currently

@@Booster_Diecast Wouldn't suggest lambo as they have opening parts and some of them have AWFUL panel gaps. Also be safe from paint rash. TLV ranks #1 in destroying itself. The plastic boxes will either eat your paint, and if you keep them outside paint bubbles will start appearing within a year.

@@archan_ghosh I'll take the gamble. I really like their Miuras

I'm surprised. I only have 4 TLV's so far, but they've all been perfect and well worth the price premium.

I have the Pop Race, Inno64 and TLV 400R. TLV is by far the sharpest of the three. I like having cars from different brands and different colors, but the 400R made me ask myself why I do it, why bother? And the price was only $21, right there with Inno and probably 30% more than the Pop Race.
