Pro tip when creating a diesel engine: Max out the stroke and then reduce the bore to desired displacement. It will give you high torque and since the stroke is soo long, you can’t rev it high at all
honestly, if you had the icelandic-spec 900 width tires on this build, i could have absolutely seen the whole build as some nordic aftermarket company taking a Land Rover to the absolute max for glacier exploration. imagine: -a TVR-spec 4.2L inline six with a custom twin-turbo system tuned for low-end torque. -a Bowler 6-speed trans with custom gear ratios and a super-low range transfer case. -a heavy-duty truck straight-axle, leaf-spring conversion for maximum durability. pretty much a solid build all around.
I would love to see a V2, and an arctic truck version of it! (with interior obviously) I think its a really good off-roader! as a name, I thinked about FakeRover, would keep the R in the middle! Also you might want to get back on it with some mods (spare wheel, snorkel, headlight grills) to make it even more offroad ready!
I really have to say... This car was really good, not what we are used to see from you :P still a lot to tweak around Would make a beast with shorter Gears, less spacing, harder springs, more dampening and maybe even smaller turbos so that the Torque is almost instant
a few things you could have done to make it a ton better 1: make your suspension just a tad stiffer so you don't bottom out. 2: make your suspension have WAY more travel 3: drop some horse power 4: make your vehicle lighter
This was an excellent video I love your content and this actually inspired me to make my own version before you had finished to see if I could make one that’s better without knowing your end specs and then watching to the end and seeing in my mind the comparison between the two .. I’m running an older version of automation but it was still really fun thank you for the great content
It’s been a while since I watched your videos and they are even better than I remember. This new update looks really fun, can’t wait to start playing it.
The torque is dependent on engine volume not stroke length. So for example, all other things being equal, an undersquare 2 litre will not produce more torque than an overstate 2 litre. I can tell you the reason for this but would require quite a large effort post that I cannot be bothered to do right now.
to simplify the turbo graph, upping the compressor size will slightly increase the size and shape of the lightened area. the turbine & ar ratio sliders affect the blue line, if the blue line is too much in the red, or leaving the lightened area, thats what causes compressor surge or overheating. there will be a little explosion on the end of the blue line to signify that. also, the turbo(s) being too small, or the tune being off will prevent the engine from revving as high as the redline you have set.
@@automotiveflux I’m not judging, it looks like a mix between one of the early 2k land rovers and the 70s rovers, and from that angle it just looks like a Suzuki or a Mitsubishi pandaro…
His builds: 2.5k horsepower My builds: pistons, con rods, crank failed to excessive torque and rpm. Turbo exploded due to excessive torque, pushrod temperature exceeded safe limits.
Wish I had friends that would challenge me, otherwise the ones I have are already mentally challenged. I have an idea challenge: build an engine and a car on a prearranged budget (measured in Automation $) sort of the top gear episodes where they get 5 quid to shop at Tesco for a used car and then race it in beamng mp or try to score the fastest lap in a track in beamng offline etc.
Hey make a part 2 to this video with more modifications and do some off roading on a much bigger map and longer video make sure you get your friend to collab again
This was a fun one to make, and I think it turned out great! More classic style videos to come
This is one of your best videos so far, your builds are getting better and better
You should make a 4K rpm "diesel" truck with over 1,500Nm of tourqe, and the lowest spooling turbo possible (around 800RPM is make boost).
i wonder what a car sounds like when its compression ratio is 8:1 and its a V8 SOHC aero engine
Pro tip when creating a diesel engine: Max out the stroke and then reduce the bore to desired displacement.
It will give you high torque and since the stroke is soo long, you can’t rev it high at all
Another tip is to work around having an insanely high compression ratio, so set it at the maximum 15:1 and then work around that as well.

I really enjoyed this video. I loved the multiplayer adventure at the end. It was just a lot of fun to watch.
This is a seriously cool build. I can’t help but think that a base model of this would totally be a 90s Karen Commander though
Brilliant to see this old school style! Loving it alot Flux!

Man i love the Range Rover Classic and the P38...this is a perfect blend of both, with a little bit of discovery thrown in

Ouch but fair
Happy new years!
Try to make to most dangerous car in automation 😂, btw love you and your videos!! 😊

You guys should definitely do something like that again.
That's some seriously proper and good looking build you got there sir well done

how were you able to control all the fixture letters at the same time
I just got a landrover from that 90s I'm happy to see this
this is my first time watching you and you techniques are incredible can you please add a link to all of your cars So we all can install them please
Arctic Trucks Land Rover when it's completely max stance
You could have called it the Randy Lover.
Excellent!
The headlights remind me of my 1.5 gen xterra
how do you access the advanced settings? ive been wanting to mess around with them but i havent been able to get to them
Idk why but I have none of the new twin turbo options and the advanced turbo settings
@@t_h_f7931 you need to update the game on steam
What map is this? I've been wanting to get it to test my own offroaders.
Leap of death it's in the repository
@@patata3219 Thanks.
@@brokenursa9986 no problem
This car really gives me a Mitsubishi Pajero vibe
You should've added a rack up top with lights. Would've looked a lot better in my opinion.
I prefer it without

Absolutely wrong! Longer stroke produces more torque at lower revs. Less hp but more torque

@@automotiveflux of course! i was actually thinking of making a twin scroll twin turbo LS3 for a vid right before i saw this xD
Finally a nice build, nice specs, nice overall vid. Hope u can keep on this nice level of vids and don't get back to that bad ones
That thumbnail be lookin like a Suzuki though…
It's my brand of Land Rover

that whas fun video
14:50 no no roots are superchargers bro
wait since when does beam have multiplayer?
You should’ve named it “Rand Lover”

Alpha
ooo would you look at this! ;)
oh god, I didn't realise you made all the rock sliders by hand! I thought they were just a mod haha impressive
