My parents made me go see her sing at dollywood when I was a little kid maybe 9 or 10 and I didn't really appreciate it till I'm older now 28 how wonderful it was to see her sing. Blessed to have great parents and to seen her sing.
She's still going as far as I heards. My mammies tells me when an old-timer dies, she still kickin' strong, she had good retirement money to stay healthy in all likelihood. That's how most old ones stay afloat, they have the cash and can take care of ailments that way, where as people that don't have insurance and money, just go to a nursing home and shittle away.
Very beautiful song I will be going to heaven soon I hope I can see some of the Grand Ole Opry songs there I never got a chance while I was on this Earth I was always working to take care of my two daughters families turn on 84 I will be 85 in December I live with a lot of pain because I have a condition that is softening the spinal cord so I can die at any time I sure hope I'm right with the Lord
2022 I am listening to this song brings back memories my mom used to play jeans songs my mom passed away I miss her so much my wee angel 😇 in heaven 😢😢💔💔💔😇😇 thanks for the memories
i remember going to my grandma's in KY for certain holidays and they always had this music playing here and there...deep in the southeastern foothills of the Appliacians right next to Black Mtn., snakes all over the place and hidden little cemetaries up in the mountains.
If you listen closely Jean is the only one who can sing this just like Rosemary Clooney, beautiful! I love 💕 to hear Jean Shepherd sing, she’s only gotten better with time.
When I was a little girl we stopped at the place called the trading post on hwy 71. I heard it allot that night & momma and daddy said I sat in the back seat singing of the car and sang it all the way back to south Austin. Daddy and I had danced to it allot thst day.
RIP to Mrs Jean Shepard what a lovely voice she has . Jeannie Seely is the longest Opry member surpassing jean Shepard for the most premormances on the Grand ole Opry
Just love this old country song. What a great performer. Listening to country stars that have passed on makes me think of my mother who left us almost 5 years ago♥️

Written by Henry Ellis Stewart and Julius Frank Anthony Kuczynski. From Shannon Burns' notes. None better in her vast knowledge of real country music. Surpassed only by Eddie Stubbs. God bless my Bear. Gone to be with her savior, now 3 years. I miss her like my next breath.
Funny story as a teen went with 2 cousins broke up with one so her and friends asked if her cousin would talk to me at a skate but with in 2 laps of the rink I fell in love with the cousin.
