Can you do a tutorial for oil paints? The step step process and the preparation of the materials and its use or what is it for? What brands do you suggest?
Hi Katie I am loving everything on here. More oil painting tutorials would be awesome. I started with Acrylic but I am a slow painter and they dry too quickly you have inspired me to try them again but because it is very hot and dry where I live i have found oils more forgiving. Do you wait until each layer is dry with oils. I have trouble adding highlights to dark colors, I think I blend too much and then make mud . How long does it take to be dry enough to add to? I find your style of tutoring so easy to understand and no stress. You are amazing. So grateful I found you on here.
yvie01 If you are using solvent or an alkyd medium it will take about a day to dry between layers. If you are using a drying oil it can take a few days to dry.
Well done Katie ! You have your own unique style 💕
Your work is so lovely :)

Buenos días Lo único que puedo decir es que todo lo que hace Me fascina y más las flores saludos
Beautiful work Katie. Did you decide purple wasn't working. End result is amazing!
That's done on purpose to give the blue depth of colour ..god she's good 😁
hey katie what do you use to outline/sketch your canvas before you start painting?
kathie i just wanted to know is it possible to paint over a dried layer of oil paint?
Miss Katie, what kind of canvas do you use?
fantastic, katie ... what do you use to make your colors thinner ?
Thank you, I used turpentine or liquin
What kind of flowers are these?
Just found this video, I love this piece. If you should ever want to videotape it in realtime I would love to learn step by step from you. Are you on any other channel where your audience can watch & learn. Thank you for sharing.
Your channel is wonderful! I look forward to every new video. I'm an acrylic artist but have started to dab in the oils. How long did you wait for your underpainting to dry before working on building the flowers?
Thank you so much 😃 ooo great! Oils are so lovely. It depends, if I use a lot of solvent it usually dries quite quickly. Few hours - a day. Just keep checking it regularly as it has a lot to do with your environment so it's a bit different for everyone.
Can I ask where you got your big tubes of paint from?
You can get them from most art stores. I've linked them in the desc. box :)
wOULD LOVE TO SEE A DETAIL IN DEPTH WITH NARRATIVE SLOW VIDEO OF THIS PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE?
Where did you get the scrapper to clean your palette! Omgggg
It's a window scraper ..any diy store will do them.
Yeh I think I got mine online for like £1.99 or something 👍🏻
Interesting, what do you do with that jar of left overs?
Just decoration/inspiration ☺️ It's kind of it's own art!
i was wondering that too!! maybe you could glue the pieces down into a picture. ;)
There ya go Katie, repurposing, I like it!
This reminds me of Van Gogh paintings
very inspiring,thanks
