It’s really heartbreaking to see how inflation and recession impact low-income families. The cost of living keeps rising, and many struggle just to meet basic needs, let alone save or invest. It’s a reminder of the importance of finding ways to create financial opportunities. You've helped me a lot sir Brian! Imagine i invested $50,000 and received $190,500 after 14 days

It's disheartening to think that our tax dollars are being spent on international interests instead of tackling our own nation's challenges, such as rising rents and stagnant wages, which are making it difficult for me to make ends meet. In fact, I've been forced to dip into my savings to keep up with the increasing costs. However, I'm determined to make the most of my situation and invest the remaining $100,000 in a non-retirement account to secure my financial future. Advice on how to grow this sum would be greatly appreciated, especially considering the current economic climate.

For now, avoid index funds, mutual funds, and individual stocks, and opt for a stable 5% fixed-income option. Set aside funds for when the market recovers significantly, and consider diversifying across asset classes, short-term low-risk investments, and consulting a financial advisor for personalized guidance to secure what you have left for your financial future.

For starters, quit insisting that every citizen who sucks oxygen should have the right to vote. NONSENSE! No citizen should be allowed to vote until he or she has taken and passed a basic Civics test so that you understand how our government works. For example: 1) how many main branches are there in our form of government? 2) Name them. 3) In no more than two sentences, describe the role of each. Right there you would probably eliminate about 75% of today's voters, which would be the proper thing to do! If you think Presidents "write laws," you have no business voting!!!!

One of the major problems with the Inheritance Tax is that it is a really great way to destroy a successful family owned small business that's valuable enough to qualify for the tax but that also has little liquidity because it's all tied up in the business. Often the only way to pay the tax is to liquify the business. It's why family owned farms & ranches tend to shrink with every generation. Farmers & ranchers may have a truly significant net worth because of the value of the land & equipment (priced a tractor or a combine lately?!) but survive on only a middle class income. The only way to pay the tax is to sell off some of the land. Yeah, sure, there are also those inheriting hundred-million dollar trust funds, but they are the exception, not the rule. The 'Death Tax' is insidious, and it needs to go away forever. Death should not be a taxable event!

The key to fixing our problems lies in FOCUS.
We can not begin to solve all of our problems and the world's problems too. It can't be done. (We would probably all be shocked by how much money we'd save by focusing on our issues.)
Our political process is broken. Politicians can not agree on our priorities.
We need to fix our process for building consensus on what to work on first, second, third ...
We have the wrong politicians ... lawyers.
What are lawyers trained to do? Argue. And it makes little difference to them which side of an issue they are arguing.
This does not build cooperation, acceptance, and agreement.
As we have seen, we are more likely to get hostility.
It doesn't help that the cost of getting elected has become obscene, leading to politicians trying to serve a multitude of masters. That leads to campaigns being bought and poor candidates.
How else can you explain the Democrats' two, inept, incompetent buffoons being at the top of their ticket.
Billion dollar campaigns lead to foreign interest interference, mediocre candidates who can't explain their masters' policies, and false image portrayals by a media being reimbursed by ad money.
This has led to elections of people who have no business running anything ... and ultimately the destruction of our society and country.
I think we'd be better off giving each candidate an equal amount of money to make their pitch ... perhaps leading to them spending more time refining their goals, policies, and speeches.
We should then throw anyone in jail who attempts to influence a race with their money.
I suspect this would lead to politicians with greater understanding of their constituents' needs and fewer career politicians.

Let's start with Maslow's hierarchy of needs and talk about how diff we are.
By the way, even people like Stewart and Oliver who make habit of addressing the corruption do not go far enuf. They should end EVERY broadcast/segment on that issue to taking money out of politics. 26 states allow public refs.
Until then, we are like cows following the side-topic of the day. And you and Oliver and Stewart and..are complicit........or scared.

The main driver on usage of Fentanyl is the insane extremes people are trying to navigate 24/7.
In the last 4 to 6 years, every normal "just living life" American doesn't have the capacity to deal with the psychological and physical assaults that radicalized politics assaults them with.
I've worked with chronic pain patients for 20 years and what's happening with fentanyl is massively worse than chronic pain people trying to control therapeutic value vs pysch self care treatment in the last 5 years. 20x worse. People achieved a balance back and forth between the two.
People now are literally falling apart. Whether you are looking at chronic misuse to check out from feeling anything or a 19 year old whack job throwing paint on a million dollar painting,
they're all symptoms of life as covid hit, followed by riots, followed by weaponization of govt, followed by........................
The Chinese and the cartels recognize an open door when they see one.
    Hence, 2$ tabs of fentanyl.

Yes. Let’s talk about the Social Security Fund. Take it out of the general budget. Then, we can talk about it. The government should hold itself accountable the same as it did the Postal Service for their retirement accounts.

I have to ask. Why should anyone not directly impacted by the “accidental” deaths care?
These individuals are not being force fed the drug, right?
If they are choosing to put the drug in their body, why is it anything more than a number for the majority of us? Is it some grand secret that drugs kill people? And is it a secret that if you choose this, you might die?
I’m not being mean, I’m being simply data driven. What does the pure data answer for my question?

Wow. A new fact-checking "unbiased" information outlet. Just in the area of finance/government spending/economics, we have dozens of governmental agencies, like the Joint Commission on Taxation, the Congressional Research Service, The Bureau of Labor Statistics, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Council of Economic Advisors, the Treasury, the Federal Reserve. This doesn't count the individual government departments who are actually executing the spending and budgeting, like Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security Administration, Dept. of Defense, CDC, HHS, etc. We have Congressional Oversight Committees. We have countless private think tanks and research organizations (Brookings, Heritage, Commonwealth, etc). We have armies of NGOs, many of which are crooked. And we supposedly have the media serving as our watchdog, including dozens of independent fact-checking organizations like the Poynter Institute. And they all have an agenda of some sort.
So what is Ballmer going to do differently? And how is his organization going to keep from getting captured by leftist ideology and morphing into another propaganda outlet? He spent way too much time in Washington state with Bill Gates to be trustworthy, in my opinion. And it's all for naught if the government, in collaboration with Big Tech and the mainstream media, continues to censor information it doesn't like.
Even if he is successful (however he defines it), it's barely going to create a ripple. Hell, government itself has so many sets of numbers and "facts" that I don't think it can achieve agreement internally on what's truly accurate. Getting even more granular, how many numbers the government uses in policy-making are based on projections, estimates, and models, all of which require a healthy portion of guesswork and assumptions which may or may not reflect reality?
The problem Ballmer seeks to address requires a lot more than I think he even realizes. I applaud his enthusiasm. But it's naive, and arguably bordering on hubris, to think that he will make an impact. It's an "all-of-society" problem. And even if it were achievable to lock down solid factual information, then you have to overhaul our entire education system, which is every bit as ideological and politicized and disingenuous as any other part of government.

Does Mr. Balmer not realize that there are always two or more ways of looking at any set of facts. We will never agree on just one result from a large set of data that is observed by more than one group of people. Opinions become an issue. His "facts," I believe fall into that category.
