the youngest being 14 is really not new in kpop. wonyoung was 13 when she was in produce48. when i first got introduced to kpop, the idol maknaes were around my age. now that im growing older, new idols /of course/ would be younger than me. the people and the nature of the industry makes it weird to be a singer/dancer at 14 when it shouldnt be
True but you see idols who did debut that young who claimed it messed with their mental health and regret doing so (i.e Boa). So long as the company protects their minor idol, doesn't objectify/sexualize them, and/or works the minors too hard then I'd be all for it.
