I understand when people have the criticism that it's probably not a good idea to hook up with your work partner and it may screw up their dynamic in the kitchen but irl people do it all the time. Sometimes it works amd sometimes it doesn't but when has anyone ever gone into a relationship thinking with their head rather than their heart. These two are literally perfect for each other though.

@dreamingpaper, Who care what the naysayers say or think? She's helping to make him a better individual (and perhaps in some ways vice-versa), and from drowning even deeper in his pain and sorrow. They compliment each other and their chemistry is Awesome, good for them.

I saw this same thing happen between the characters Rick and Michonne in The Walking Dead. A lot of people saw their chemistry, but many in the fandom didn’t want to see Rick/Andy Lincoln with Michonne/Danai Gurera. Many racist things were said. People don’t want to see Jeremy Allen White with a dark skinned black woman. I believe that if Sydney were a white or Hispanic woman people wouldn’t have a problem with a romance between them, especially with the chemistry between them. I do feel however that the writers should hold off on a romantic relationship between Carmine and Sydney. I need more individual character development first. 🙂
Yeah, I didn't want to say it, but I thought Sydney being dark-skinned and a normal-looking cute woman is a big reason some people don't want this ship. I think Yara Shahidi, who looks like a living doll, might have been more acceptable, but who knows. Anyways, I really think the writers weren't bent on making Syd and Carmy a thing, but the natural chemistry between Jeremy and Ayo, has shifted the producers, director, and writers to explore that path more. It would be a waste to throw away that chemistry because it's really not that common.

Your Sydcarmy compilations are my favorite!! And I love your song choices!! Before episode 9, I was pretty neutral, but now I'm ALL in!!! I hope season 3 deepens their connection. Suggestions- The Bear becomes a smash hit and Carmy and Sydney have to do interviews/go to events together. Also, maybe Sydney has a chronic illness (tons of pill bottles in her cabinet) and Carmy help support her during a medical crisis?
