Yes. You have to buy a chain with bigger buckets for big pecans like Mammoth Pecans to get big halves. We have 8 of these models and we don’t have to change the bucket chains. Because most pecans are jr Mammoths. So one chain size can crack many sizes of pecans. I just wouldn’t crack westerns because the pecan meat is so full in the shell you get a lot of sticktights which ruins the pecans. Unless you do a sterilization dip which helps the pecans soften up and then a hot flash dip to kill all pathogens and ready to crack. And you can adjust the stress, crack, release, to get the desired crack. Really great machines low maintenance. Just have to change the crack dies, o ring sets , shuttles. Food grade lubrication. Runs with power and air in tandem.
