There sure will.. I am filming another today and as I get more subscribers/views I will be able to dedicate more time each week. So more videos per week. Is there anything specific you are struggling with?
Hey ! Hope you are doing good. Just noticed that webflow converter is not in shopify store anymore. Do you have some insights on how to override it ? Thanks a lot
Hi there.. if you are talking about the Udesly app that you install on Shopify you have to access it through the app link found on the udesly conversion page. its not findable within the wider Shopify app store.. link for easy reference apps.shopify.com/udesly-webflow-importer
@@AlternatePro Amazing ! Thanks a lot. Your videos are sooo useful you can't imagine. Thanks for the effort. Last question on my side. I'm trying to design my website on webflow and i want to connect webflow to my shopify automatically. Example : I create a single page template for all products on webflow and each time i add a product on shopify i want the template i created on webflow get applied to it. Is there a solution for that or is it impossible ? Thanks again for your help !
+ if i may add. When i download the compressed file from udesly, the second file is not downloaded ? Is it normal with the 3.0 version or I still need to have two files. Thanks a lot
Hi thats exactly how the Udesly process works. Think of the design/build work you do in Webflow as a templating system. You do not have to author your products on Webflow at all.. I just create a few demo products on Webflow to help me design/build the template and then I author all my products in Shopify (which will use the theme templates created in Webflow and exported to Shopify).
Hi you still need two files .. the first file is the json config file which will automatically download when you use the Udesly chrome extension then second file is the downloaded HTML/CSS and JS file which you need to manually download using Webflows code export feature the button looks like this . This is the second step in the process and has to be done AFTER the custom attributes have been configured via the udesly chrome extension. I did a video on 7 things to know before starting this process and I think given your questions this may help clarify the process for you a bit: ruclips.net/video/6JBRSOUwkP4/видео.html hope that helps
Hey can you let me know if there are any snippets that were created that have the “name of your webflow section/symbol”? If this is the case then you most likely have not added a custom attribute to any of the elements (I.e. option:text …) or check if you have made the section in Webflow into a Symbol.. hope that helps
Really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos!! Have you come across an instance where there is not a 'markup_for_collection_X' file? I can't seem to find it.
Hi, Johnelle thanks.. I haven't come across your specific issue.. However, it sounds like a configuration issue.. Try deleting any "bind" custom attributes and reapply them. And also make sure that you don't have a "section" custom attribute applied to the section (in case you previously had this built using Udesly Legacy Version). Let me know if this helps.
Hi I think you haven’t selected the collection via the theme editor.. select the section in the customiser and then choose the relevant collection on Shopify and that should hopefully sort it for you..
Hi Julien. The awesome thing about this process and the Udesly workflow is that you have complete control over the design of the sites design and that includes mobile responsiveness. Webflow is handsdown one of (if not) the best no-code web builders out there and it allows you to tailor the site by each breakpoint.. so to summarize it works perfectly. Hope that helps
Hey there! Thank you very much for the tutorial! Quick question. So I happen to be building in Webflow to be used for an existing Shopify store with its existing collections and products. My question is, if we want to filter products by a pre-existing collection/category on the homepage... what would be the best way to do that? I'm worried if I just make a category in Webflow with the same name as the collection that already exists in Shopify, Udesly will just make a new collection (And I'd lose all the products that are already added to the current collection in Shopify).
Hi there. This is a pretty straightforward process. Firstly you can create collections (product category) in Shopify or Webflow (I tend to create a dummy one in Webflow and then do all the CMS work in Shopify directly so for your scenario I would just create a collection called Dummy or DeleteMe. Then when you create a product collection list in Webflow (using the collection list wrapper). Then you will need to make the section into a symbol so that it gets converted as a section in Shopify. Once you have done this you will be able to select one of the existing collections/categories that you want to show in the theme settings in Shopify. The easiest way to do this is to go through the store customiser and click the section you want to edit and then select the collection and the number of items to display. Hope that helps
@@AlternatePro So I'm getting an error when I try to convert the build on Udesly. "Failed to convert page: Home!" // Wish I could send you my read-only link! May be from this: Outside of showing a grid of products from a specific collection in Shopify on the homepage. I'm trying to show just a grid of "collection cards" on the homepage as well... like a "featured collections" grid on the homepage where each card links to their unique collection page. Trying to decide if using "Blocks" here is a better practice... Instead of calling in a Categories CMS List. Just would suck because with blocks you need to manually type the heading in the Shopify theme editor. Whereas, with a CMS list those headings are called in from an existing field.
Hi Zach... I offer one on one consulting where I will walk through your project, read-only links and help set up the store correctly. Send me an email at hello@alternate.pro if you are interested and we can schedule an hour in and knock this on its head.
Hey man, thanks for the video tutorial Quick question, what does Udesly mean by Checkout isn't modifiable within Shopify Does that mean the checkout page and cart I design and build in Webflow will not carry over onto Shopify? Or does it mean that you cannot make changes to the Cart / Checkout page on Shopify post Webflow conversion and you have to deal with the template you created in Webflow? xD
Hi there.. this is a Shopify restriction and not a Udesly one.. basically Shopify doesn't let you mess with the checkout process much (unless you are a Shopify plus customer). but I wouldn't worry much their checkout process is highly optimised for conversion so it's all good.. the cart pages and mini cart is fully customisable.
@@AlternatePro Thank you so much for the speedy reply and great insight I'm in the process of creating Pros/Cons list for a client regarding a Webflow-Shopify conversion using Udesly as opposed to other Ecommerce platforms in conjunction with Webflow design You've basically saved me a lot of pain -consider me subscribed!
Hello hello!! Thank you so much for those videos! I was wondering if you have some video explaining the product configuration to export to shopify....
Hi Ana
One of my first videos goes over the product page configurations. Did you have additional questions?
ruclips.net/video/VVF6jiYhXPE/видео.html
Will there be more videos to come? There are very few resources for Udesly, please keep the videos coming.

At the moment I am doing at least one video a week. But I will be aiming to do one Shopify and one WordPress video each week soon.
Just noticed the product description thing is still an issue for me. Removing the metafield values fixed it though!
Thanks for letting me know Renze. If you want you can ping over your web low preview link to hello@alternate.pro and I'll take a quick look.
Would love to see something about blocks!
Funny you should ask.. it's coming next week.
Hi Bri-Anna.. new tutorial is live and I cover off blocks within it.. hope it helps

I followed everything step-by-step, but shopify is still saying "this page doesn't have any sections." Do you know what a potential solve may be?

Hi Johnelle Udesly have updated the app and so your conversion should be working perfectly..
I've tried editing the product list within Shopify and it is not being reflected on the site. Am I missing something?

How well does it work with desktop to mobile scaling? Most of our business is conducted online and native shopify themes scale poorly.
