I owned the same tractor for about 25 years I put a front end loader on it used it twice a day to feed silage to my beef cattle, also for hauling silage wagon’s in Haywagon‘s, I was unable however to use it for even a simple task of raking hay the transmission would overheat rendering that totally inoperative. during the winter I had to connect it to a block heater on a timer however I lived in western New York where the temperatures got a bit chilly. Also had a snowblower on the back which having the hydrostatic Drive was terrific . Keep up the good work I always enjoy watching your videos Norm
So smart I'm 67 and I've learned more about farming and yields and feed storage from this 24 year old who is willing to teach us I love learning new stuff and have re found respect for this trade PEACE
Drove one new in 1978 hydro 84 .had a loader on it made a good loader tractor . Turned into a scraper tractor many years later.hydro transmission made good for scraping out also.
Your dad is the man. Just love watching your videos . I know my brother Nick and I would love to come and work a day or two helping you. He is better at mechanical and I love driving tractors. Love you feed and bedding methods. Blessings from Ohio....

Great to be back I want away for awhile cause of personal problems but it’s great to be back love this channel thank you Eric for inspiring me to do great your amazing don’t let anyone tell you different and you got a great farm going keep it up Eric.
We had an 84 hydro; good little tractor; we had three hydros of various sizes. The straddle fuel tanks on the 84 are notorious for flaking rust. Have extra fuel filters on hand.

More drone clips! I really enjoy those as it gives a better sense of the space and where everything is... They are well done. The sped up parts I also like as you can see patterns and such with more clarity... "Not all corn silage is created equal." Sounds so "Animal Farm"! LOL
Hydro needs a lot more revs to get the pressure for the transmission, that's why it's making that groaning noise. Also, that's not a clutch, it's a dump pedal to bypass the control valve, if you use it like a clutch it will overheat the oil and damage the transmission. Great tractors when used correctly
Your cows are so pretty... Holsteins are fun because you never know how they will turn out with their pretty spots. I have a mostly black one, a mostely white one.. and one with crazy beautful spots and one classic cute holstein with a heart on her head.. 4 girls and that's my herd :D
Thanks Eric Another busy day. Now we find farmers have to be statisticians as well as all the rest. ITs a great fulfilling life though. Thanks for this.
We had a bad year for hay here last year, No sun and rain every day. I noticed the farther south I go the corn fields are still standing, very short stand & muddy. We only get one cut of hay as it is and we didn't get that till mid Sept. So, I've been supplementing my animals with bagged feed to bring up the protein and nutrients, Expensive year. I feel bad for the ones trying to make it farming in Northern BC, I just have a hobby farm
Hope The Hydro preforms well for Yall‼️Another great Video- haven’t seen the dump pit in awhile‼️ Fun to read You and “Farmer On The Prairie” comments and watch both of your videos‼️ They had long trip‼️ PRAYERS & BLESSINGS FOR YALL from Northeast GEORGIA Mountains ⛰‼️ Gainesville: Poultry Captial of The World 🌎 🐓🐓🐔🐥🥚🍗🚜🍳 FARMERS•••BACKBONE OF AMERICA ‼️ 🥛🥛🥛GOT MILK 🥛🥛🥛
Clean old tractor. FYI...on them its best to set throttle like 1600 and leave it. Kepp good filters and Hytran oil in it and it will last for YEARS. Good job on videos. We milk in NWWA
I read an article about a Southern California dairy man who feed some hay where a cat had died and decomposed, he lost a big part of his herd form eating contaminated feed. The really awesome thing was that many local dairy farmers dropped off pregnant cows, milking cows, along with young calves (many were registered) and many were dropped off with the farmer never knowing who dropped off the animals. Just be extra careful.
Bro you are very careful for your cows . Otherwise I saw many farmers that didn't care about the silage and give their cows black silage which is completely harmful for them . You are very careful person
I’m putting out silage corn for the first time this year my co agent told me to go to school to learn I told him naw I got RUclips I showed him your channel and he got upset that y’all are giving away to much information lol keep up the good work I’m learning a lot from you
I am not sure if this would help but as a suggestion that might make driving the hydro a little easier is if you raise that lever by bending it up or adding an extension so it is a little closer to the steering wheel. This way you could either reach it with your fingertips or at least not have to reach under the wheel like that. (similar to like forward/reverse lever on some tractors) Maybe adding some type of larger grip, possibly with rubber would help too.
Man & machine and you never hesitate to say how thankful you are for what you have, how nice to hear!

Thanks for explaining about Silage .😀👍🏾🌽🚜 Great as usual . Thanks for spending time with Seth 😀👍🏾
I’m glad that I was raised on a farm. Even more glad that it wasn’t a dairy farm. Glad some people are willing to be dairy farmers though. Thanks!
yep, dairy farms just shovel shit 80% of the time lol but i tell you this, id rather work on a diary farm than a pig farm xD
I grew up on a hydrostatic 656 and a Hydro 100. It made works so much easier than the geared tractors back in the day.
So an every day task for you but a video for use that we genuinely love!!! Keep them coming no Matter how simple the videos are !! Keep them coming!!
Thoroughly enjoy watching the daily work on the farm. Thanks for posting and enjoying your job. Keep up the strong work.

Great video! I always like watching feeding your cows. We also feed with a new Holland ls 180. They are great skid loaders
Nice little tractor for that. Always liked those little IHs
You sure take good care of your cows. 🐮🐮🐮
Thanks Eric! Good to see the cows! No Dew? Your people are worried😂.
I caught all those “I thinks.” I hope you do enjoy it though. My brother is already having Hydro withdraw.

That tractor seems to be doing a good job.
My grandfather use to have a 84 hydro, me and my brother use to pull logs with it out of the woods and surprisingly it wasn’t to bad for a hydro
I bet about half of these Farmers viewers are farm simulator players...that international is one of my favorite tractors
Love your videos can wait for more and keep up the hard work
Hi your doing a great job . Keep up the great work ye do . For ireland 🇮🇪

I wonder how many cows get bonked in the head when you run that feeder down through there ha
Great to see you've moved up to IH from a Deere.

Another great video. Dog names ? Love seeing extended family wagging their tails. Also good job explaining about corn silage.

Thanks for making our food! Here in quarantined N.Calif, people are hoarding food, even milk...good for dairies, but milk? Seriously. Blessings.
I can't believe you are getting rid of the 1520, more affectionately known as"the beast"!!
