I think that you are late to the party.....the property expropriation stage and public information should be long gone.
The contractor cannot work on a site that the owner has no jurisdiction over.
The contractor is temporarily the owner of the construction site, and is legally responsible for safety and any damages caused by negligence or unsafe practices.
Sorry to say but you should research your discussion topics so that there is less room for speculation.
Pre Engineering costs include studies and consultations.
Administrative or Legal costs would cover property expropriation.
Construction costs would be covered by the Tender award to the Chinese contractor.
The Engineering consultant costs of the Italian firm is probably under Contract Administration costs.
(CA costs are usually added to Construction costs)

The public has not been made aware of the truth about the cost of this bridge. The news papers have said that it costs $260 million which is the loan amount borrowed from China so far. I contend that the true cost is closer to $1 billion USD and in this series of videos I am accounting for the hidden costs that are not covered by the news.

For our educational purposes, these are some guidelines many countries use for bridge zoning.
Distance from a bridge that is considered livable space varies depending on several factors, including:
    1. Local zoning regulations and ordinances
    2. Environmental conditions (e.g., noise, pollution, flooding)
    3. Bridge type and design (e.g., highway, railroad, pedestrian)
    4. Property boundaries and ownership
    5. Intended land use (e.g., residential, commercial, recreational)
    Here are some general guidelines:
    Residential areas:
    - In the United States, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recommends a minimum distance of 100 to 200 feet (30 to 61 meters) from a highway bridge to residential areas to minimize noise and pollution impacts.
    - The American Planning Association suggests a buffer zone of 150 to 300 feet (46 to 91 meters) from high-volume roads and bridges.
    Commercial and industrial areas:
    - For commercial and industrial developments, a distance of 50 to 100 feet (15 to 30 meters) from a bridge may be acceptable, depending on the specific land use and zoning regulations.
    Setback requirements:
    - Local building codes and zoning ordinances often specify setback requirements, which dictate the minimum distance between a bridge and adjacent buildings or property lines. Typical setbacks range from 10 to 50 feet (3 to 15 meters).
    Special considerations:
    - Floodplains: Livable spaces may need to be set back farther from bridges in floodprone areas to accommodate floodwater flow and minimize risk.
    - Noise-sensitive areas: Greater distances (up to 500 feet or 152 meters) may be required for noise-sensitive land uses, such as hospitals, schools, or libraries.
Examples of bridge-related livable space distances:
    - New York City's zoning regulations require a minimum distance of 100 feet (30 meters) from highway bridges to residential buildings.
    - In California, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) recommends a minimum distance of 150 feet (46 meters) from highway bridges to residential areas.
Keep in mind that these are general guidelines, and specific requirements will vary depending on local regulations and context.
Thanks, Raphael Nation for bringing us all of these great video content, keep doing the good work.

Don't mean to be in disagreement, but isn't the houses and Princess hotel in their current location, being affected by vehicles exhaust fumes now? Also I don't think the fare for the bridge should be removed. It can be reduced to half the present cost and use that funds for maintenance or something else for the benefit of the bridge.

No. The bridge has not been built yet and the traffic has not started to flow across the bridge. All that I say in this video should have been part of an environmental impact assessment but the EPA waived the requirement for that assessment.

I think the 260 M US is for the construction of the bridge, that money will still be paid during the course of construction, it can't be said that they government already spend that ,why not reach out to the relevant authorities so this can be clarified

The sum paid is determined by valuation of properties done by a qualified valuation officer. Some own owners have accepted the valuation done by the government valuation officer while others have sought private valuation figures.it appears that some are holding out for higher prices and are reluctant to accept the prices proposed by government. The matter is now in court with two different rulings which add to the problems being encountered. There are a few buildings in NYC near to the bridges so if there is space nearby there is no need to acquire the hotel.

I doubt the hotel and neighbours will be affected by the bridge. They are already located on a very polluting and busy highway, so it's not like they can ask for compensation like they lived in a quiet alpine village before the bridge. As for the homes, a lot seems empty already, and just a few appear to be occupied. Probably holding our for a better price.

They need to use eminent domain to remove all those industrial businesses from the waterfront area around stabroek market!
Then build an industrial area away from Georgetown and make the Georgetown waterfront a tourist destination with a new modern stabroek and the centerpiece!
Doing the above will transform both Georgetown and Guyana as a whole! It would remove the dust, pollution, stink and heavy truck TRAFFIC from Georgetown!
Lastly Guyana needs a public transportation system
    !

Everywhere there is a major road, there will be exhaust fumes. The new bridge will not be different.

THE HOTEL WILL NOT BE REMOVED. Stop imagining what will happen and get your facts right. Then, present your videos with real facts. I taught for a number of years, and if any of my students make a presentation without facts, they will get a low mark or fail.
