Hi Kevin, thank you so much for your unboxing review of BeneHike's Alumabode V2. Before founding our brand, we were suppliers to many renowned names in the market. With cutting-edge engineers and advanced manufacturing, we strive to provide adventurers with superior and cost-effective RTTs. We'll keep pushing the boundaries for you!
I like the flat aluminum roof. I ordered 1 and I plan to put 2-200 watt CIGS thin solar panels up there that attach with 3M adhesive. 1 thing I’m not crazy about is not being able to close up the doors for privacy or to block wind without having to fiddle around with the rain fly and rods. There should be a zipable flap inside the screen
@@OverlandFlorida sorry, I’ve spent considerable time in Florida and Louisiana and the mosquitoes don’t even come close to alaska in the summer, or even northern Minnesota for that matter
So between this 'box' style BeneHike, or the two NatureNest's which are you keeping? NatureNest has a box style one as well, just concerned about these in the wind...
Note that you cannot sit upright in the tent. Buyer beware. The specs and advertising are misleading. The benehike video demonstrating the tent has them contradiciting themselves in the comments. In reply to one inquiry about the height they say its 90 cm (35 inches, which is the actual height). Then they say its been updated to be 41inches. The website says 43 inches.

Where’s my tent… #1169

400w of solar will be more than plenty. The rain fly could be annoying.
@@OverlandFlorida what can I say, I like my creature comforts. Besides if I can get a consistent 200 watts from 400 watts of panel I will be happy
@@erikb8877 I have 360w on my camper. I want to add another 180w panel.
@ well, it arrived. I’m pretty sure it fell out the back of the truck somewhere along the way. Now I have to wait for a replacement
Sweet tent
Thank you!
I like that tent. That would look nice on my Ford Ranger. Thanks for the video
You’re welcome.

This is a lot like the Colorado 4x4 tent. Both looks good
There’s not much head room in this model.
I can hear the ribeyes of the sky
Oh yes, Florida’s state bird. Next to the mosquitoe.

@@erikb8877 we’re going to Alaska next July.
It's nice!
Good quality!
Trying to decide which one I want on my maverick.
This is too big. The ikamper 3.0 mini is the right size.
I guess it doesn't have a inlet for a heater?
No.
Not a fan of this type of tent, but it does looks nice.
btw the link doesnt work man.
cheers.
Thanks for letting me know, I fixed the link.

Stand by. I’ll have a review of that naturnest tent soon.
رائع
Thank you.
Would this be mountable on a fiberglass truck bed lid?
I wouldn’t do that.
What is the height of the tent when fully deployed? Are you able to sit inside? Coz it seems to be kinda low...
The measurements are in the video. Yes, I can sit up inside the tent. However, it’s not very tall. You couldn’t sit up and get dressed.
Never saw a measurement inside from mattress top to ceiling
Websitw says its 43" tall. Just curious if its 35" or 43" (almost a 10 inch difference)
What I showed in the video was as high as it went.

Hiw much fo it weigh ?
You will have to click the link to the video.
Dude, have you tried sitting in it? I think no!!! That's how you'll crawl on it on your belly... It sucks!
It’s definitely not very tall. The wedge tents offer the most room.
