I recently bought a 2000 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100 and thought I smelled coolant yesterday. It's the only fluid I haven't changed yet, and thanks to this video I now know how to proceed. Much appreciated!
@@reggiesparks4357 You just saved me from taking off the Gas tank. Thank you! lol. I am so glad they put it there because i was like REALLY its under the tank! lol Now i am trying to find out do i add coolant via the Rad cap or the coolant tupe located on the back right side On to the next video!
Thanks for the video, had watched it before a while back but just did a coolant flush and fill but couldn’t find the reservoir cap. Mine is an ‘04 and probably had the original coolant. Switched to the new blue coolant that Honda uses on their bikes and cars. Hopefully will be easier to see in the overflow tank.
Turn the idle up, that’s my tip for the day, that’s one reason you’re lights coming on, you’re starving the topend of oil, it’s not supposed to sound like a Harley.
Oh by the way sir. My over heat light keeps coming on and sometimes shorts in and out. I just got this bike so havent had the opertunity to run this problem down. any suggestions?
If it's coming on and going off, it's probably on the verge of overheating. You need to get a Lazer temperature guage from harbor freight and check the actual temperature of the engine and radiator while it's running. There could be a serious problem starting. And if you over heat the engine, it's game over. Also be sure the fan is coming on when it warms up. If not, you may have a bad sensor for the fan.
