This song pulled me out if the most severe depression of my life. I used to listen to it on repeat at the gym lifting heavy weights. I gained enough strength and power to be able to become myself again feeling like Eminem was speaking what I couldn't say to anyone 🙌🏻🙌🏻

This was the album a couple years after he had overdosed, and was withing hours of dying. Ergo, relapse, and recovery. This is by far, one of the most "Beautiful" no pun intended, songs I have ever heard. And I hope everyone feels the same way.

I think he said in an interview that he wrote this song throughout the whole detox process, like he started writing when he od and finished it when he was clean, so it was the last song recorded on the album. Like, he wrote the first verse right after OD, the second verse during his rehab and the third when he finished the treatment, at least that’s what I remember reading.
But hey, maybe I’m wrong, and if I am, please correct me.

He was initially supposed to release “The King Mathers” album, which was supposed to be his LAST ALBUM of his CAREER, at the time, back in 06-07. But, he found something to lift himself out of it, and made Relapse.
His last album was curtain call then he left for about 4 years and in 09 dropped relapse

I’m saying that King Mathers was “supposed to be” his last album, but yes curtain call ended up being the last one. I don’t really consider curtain call as an album, since he put a lot of already known songs on there, with the exception of 3 new songs.

Beautiful is the only song made "awake" on Relapse. Eminem stated that he made this song while he was in rehab, after the drug overdose and its the most meaningful song on his album. I still think Relapse is one of the most lyrical albums of all the time.

Relapse was the first time he put out any music after 6 years of dead silence, there was a time where it looked like we may never get any new music because he made it clear the Encore album was his last project. This was right after Proof died. He really struggled after he died. He was on drugs heavy and almost died of an overdose. You can tell the drugged out Em by how he sounds. I can anyway. Relapse was him coming off the drugs and recovery was him sober. Recovery is his best album in my opinion.

Recovery was a really good and underrated album, but it’s not better than MMLP and Eminem Show, but I also think Relapse and Recovery are very underrated
Girl Scout Cookies I’m a big Em fan but I can’t even listen to revival, Ive done a whole album listen about 10 times and even tho some songs r somewhat good the only one I find replay value on is Chloraseptic and I can’t listen to that one because the remix of it is way better, Encore and Revival to me r is two worst albums, MMLP2 is his 3rd worst because out of all the other ones it’s not as good and it’s replay value isn’t that high
he was on drugs while filming 8mile (ambien) and spiraled afterward while recording encore, this album was mostly written/recorded just after he got clean.

To me it reminds me of my time when I was coming off my prescription meds and couldn't sleep all day all night for months . Took my energy too tired and depressed for I had kids to raise.
All the problems I was blanking out with drugs made me feel exactly the same as he says in this. I just wanted to get over it and be normal but it just felt so long and like I was the only person awake and feeling like I did .
When I did catch an hour of sleep it was dream state and each one was like a freddy Krueger movie or Ems 3am and Framed videos....
Needless to say his words hit home big time and helped me more than anyone else!

I doubt very many people in Em's place would have continued making music after Infinite flopped. He had no money, no job and no future at that point. He took his anger at that situation and made it into a new persona that made him famous. Who else could really have done that?

I was first introduced to Eminem at the young age of 3 . My dad, uncle and grandpa all introduced me to his music . This song , lose yourself and toy soldiers helped me get threw growing up as a white boy in the hood, helped me gain more confidence at school and it helped get threw all the bullying threw middle school and high school. It even helped me gain the confidence for the rap battles at school . After I got good enough I was able to either beat the shit out of someone who bullied me or I would be able to chew them out and dominate them in rap battles. I only bring home about 150 dollars a week right now and this song right here just keeps me going . This man saves lives and people still try to bring him down. I hate people in the world who do that today . Never ever bring someone down unless you know what they have been through .
