As I often play healers in rpgs, the Astartes Apothecaries always get my absolute respect (and the Space Wolves' apothecaries doubly so!). We've all had to go chasing around after the Tank shouting at them to stand still. Now imagine it's a whole Chapter of Tanks. I'd imagine that most of the rude words being screamed on the battlefield are the medics screaming "Will you bloody well slow down for Emperor's sake!" Thank you once more Mr Mort, I'm hoping that you're feeling better without the tender ministrations of an apothecary, and that you're looking forward to hitting the 40k subs mark! (It's coming soon... 😉)
I once used a wraithguards wraithcanon and blew up a Primaris dude using D6 damage rolljng a 6 and the guy brought his unit back next turn saying they could be brought back with apothecaries. I have never played with that guy again

Going fast and hard house to house, after a dozen I was starting to get tired but my team didn't slack so I didn't. 8 hours and a hundred houses later it was done. Once finished I asked them if they ever got tired, they looked confused 'we were just trying to keep up with you'

A touch on his shoulder was felt. When he turned he saw a son of Sanguinius. A Blood Angel. His wings torn and broken. His armor shatted and yet he let a hand for him to stand. When he stood he saw a Salamander, holding an almost empty flamer watching the ashes around them. There he saw a White scar roaring along with his bike to ruah to battle. There he saw the Raven preparing his stalker bolter. There stood the Ultramarine rising high the banner of defiance! There the Imperial fist redied his heavy bolter for one last time. Behind him he felt a shadow. He turned to see the unyelding dreadnaugh of the Iron Fists roaring his ancient engine to burn with the hated they all felt. He saw his chain axe given to him by the Dark Angel. The one that was with burnt robes and shattered lence on his left eye. They all were brused and they all lost everything, but this is their moment. This is the day they show the power of humanity. They'll show the will to live in a galaxy that wants them dead and yet they spit in defiance! The gates exploded as the enemy charges blindly, but they'll face no superhuman. No mere mortal that they'll devour and continue the aunslaught. They face the CHAMPIONS OF HUMANITY!!! AND THEY SHALL KNOW NO FEAR!!!

The wolf stood kneeling. The curse overtaking him as he was the soul remainder of the chapter. The enemy breached the palace of Terra and he will be DAMNED if he'll let them reach the throneroom. A touch on his shoulder was felt. When he turned he saw a son of Sanguinius. A Blood Angel. His wings torn and broken. His armor shatted and yet he let a hand for him to stand. When he stood he saw a Salamander, holding an almost empty flamer watching the ashes around them. There he saw a White scar roaring along with his bike to ruah to battle. There he saw the Raven preparing his stalker bolter. There stood the Ultramarine rising high the banner of defiance! There the Imperial fist redied his heavy bolter for one last time. Behind him he felt a shadow. He turned to see the unyelding dreadnaugh of the Iron Fists roaring his ancient engine to burn with the hated they all felt. He saw his chain axe given to him by the Dark Angel. The one that was with burnt robes and shattered lence on his left eye. They all were brused and they all lost everything, but this is their moment. This is the day they show the power of humanity. They'll show the will to live in a galaxy that wants them dead and yet they spit in defiance! The gates exploded as the enemy charges blindly, but they'll face no superhuman. No mere mortal that they'll devour and continue the aunslaught. They face the CHAMPIONS OF HUMANITY!!! AND THEY SHALL KNOW NO FEAR!!!
