No. I don't feel the need to complete a collection. I used to do this with makeup palettes, so I've grown a little 😂 ... now I only want my very favorites from a brand. I feel I'll be happier to pare it down to top favorites, masterpieces, 10/10s, or just obsessions

Wow what a fantastic compilation of fragrances, some impressive houses. I don't feel compelled to complete a collection however I do feel that from a house the scents often follow each other and that's how you end up needing more from a set ✨✨✨

I think I'm going to blind buy Angelique Noire. Pretty sure it would be a love ❤️ sometimes I'd rather save the $5-$30 on decants and just go for the full size. I can spend hundreds/thousands on samples and then not have a full-size to show for it 😒 sooo I've just started look for deals on discounters first.

This! You can spend so much in decants and samples! Don't get me wrong they serve a purpose, but I have about 100 fragrances (all blind buys) and only 2 were fails so I think I'd rather get true scents I'd really like and research and enjoy my full bottles. But I also understand that's not everyone's style ❤
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup I am about to start doing that too. Unless the brands have discovery sets for a decent price. Because it just costs a lot. I've found some good places to get 5ml/8ml/10ml travel-size decants for decent prices. But that still adds up. And I always prefer to buy full-size bottles over travel-sizes anyways because it's a better value and I just like a large bottle. But getting iddy bitty samples for $5-9/each is getting ridiculous 😒

I wish you would talk a bit more about the lowest shelf! There were a lot of perfumes that I own there and I would love to hear your opinion! Because it is a mish mash, I don't think that could be a separate episode ;)

Wow what a beautiful collection. Have you tried Ruby Red from THOO? I absolutely LOVE Bonbon Pop but Ruby Red has my heart. It's like the most beautiful sweet candied ginger yet still grown up floral gourmand. I wonder how it compares to the Vivamor Reserve Exclusiv 🤔

Wow, this is what perfume heaven looks like! Your shelving is so perfect for displaying the bottles, love how you have it laid out 🙂 although I am very much a collector in my heart, with perfumes I feel stressed if my collection goes above 50 as I know it's just too many for me to wear regularly and enjoy. So although I love seeing large collections like this, I'm always curating my own so if I get a new one, I'll usually rehome one that I've realised isn't quite for me.
I would love to have a more curated collection, if I wasn’t making videos I would try harder to keep it more curated. This is far too many for anyone and I’d never recommend someone have this many. It’s overwhelming and pretty wasteful. I am going to think about downsizing soon. I could always decant 10ml out so I can still review too

I was slow off the mark last week when Commodity opened their archives; I missed out on Milk and Rain🐌 I'm hoping they do something for Black Friday🤞. I resonate with you about collecting a specific brand; I love Francesca Bianchi and apart from the last 2 I have a full set.

@@kathywitter6076 Well, I'm trying to sell mine. I sprayed it once and it doesn't work for me. Bianchi is a very specific brand. The drydown is not bad, but I can't take the open.
@@kuklakid - sorry UM hasn't worked for you 😞. Musk's a funny note isn't it. I recently sampled Stairway To Heaven as it has 7 different musks in the composition but it fell a bit flat for me (and I'm no expert like Hayley)

I just received a decant of PDM Safanad and really loving it so far! 😍 Cassili is not for me.... I have decants of all 3 Delinas and dunno if I would need a full size of any because I hardly reach for them - even though when I wear them I love it! ... but I may have to get Safanad. The only thing holding me back atm is it reminds me of other fragrances that are cheaper. And I wonder if I would prefer the cheaper perfume(s) instead.
I am the same with Safanad, it’s similar to many other fragrances which is why I haven’t added it in yet.
@@hayley.clough It is one of my favorites from the female line though so far (not counting the Delinas - they're in their own group in ny mind lol). So I'm kinda sad. I wanted to find my favorite PMD to get a full size. I don't wear Delinas enough. Cassili definitely not for me. Oriana is ok but I have a Middle Eastern dupe I prefer to it.. 😫 any suggestions?

You have a beautiful collection. It is surprising how different we are with perfumes. From PFM i do not really like the women’s perfumes except Safanad which i love. I love instead for me the men’s perfumes. Looking at your collection i keep adding to my wishlist 😅.

Love seeing your collection 😍 I will he happy when I have my favorite perfume from each brand I'm interested in. Maybe top 2 or 3 faves for some houses. I am in process of decluttering and organizing. I've been seeing my tastes grow and change relatively quickly the more I sample and wear new fragrances. My samples are out of control atm but I want to find my absolute favorites and only bring those full sizes into my collection
That is a good method. I would like to downsize but every time I try, I find it so difficult.
@@hayley.clough but you have a reason to have them. You can make more comparisons, etc for your channel/IG etc. For me - if I don't reach for it.. Or if I find something in a perfume that suddenly annoys me - I have no will inside to keep it around.... I recently bought Vertus Vanilla Oud and thought for sure I would love it. But that dann rhubarb note, with the apple - made it smell like apple cider to me 🤢 Everything else about it was beautiful though. Any good vanilla/oud recommendations? So far Mancera's Oud Vanille is my fave.
Hi Hayley, I love your videos. We have very similar tastes in fragrances. I’m curious to know what is it about Valaya that you don’t like? Could it be the ambroxan? My curiosity was peaked when you said that Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique was your wedding day fragrance and imo it literally smells like PDM Valaya minus the ambroxan so I’m just curious to know. 😊
I do like Valaya it just wasn’t an instant love, it’s grown on me though since this video. I get about 50% similarities between Valaya and Fleur Narcotique. I do like Ambroxan but I just prefer Fleur Narcotique overall.

Hello this is Latonya love your perfume collection it is beautiful your perfume collection is my favorite I have only 20 bottles in my collection I have to sample everything because I am new to Niche and I just cannot get anything I do not let go any perfume in my collection I love everything love the Christmas gift that your husband gave you love the way how you have everything organized and your Discovery sets on top I will always support your Channel
Sampling everything is always the best option. 20 fragrances is still a lot of fragrances to have in a collection, always remember that. ❤️

I have 400+ bottles so it is very difficult to empty a bottle for me. I am also testing samples everyday too. I don’t overspray due to my migraines, 4-6 sprays max.
I love to see multiples from a collection but I also need to love what I own…I’m very happy when I have a lot of faves from a frag. house.

You have to be very careful. You can always ask for proof of receipt. I look at the persons selling profile carefully and look at what they are selling. I probably wouldn’t purchase popular brands like Tom Ford that are heavily faked. I also buy on small Facebook groups, you can find some decent ones.
Tempted to have a collection.. thats why i started to buy alot of minis years ago… but unfortunately… My wallet cant handle a collection… 😂 i only have 40 full bottle perfumes now, and a drawr of minis / travel sprays.

I buy the majority of my fragrances, a brand has never sent me a full collection ever. I collect them over time. If I do a collaboration I will sometimes accept new releases but other than that I will pick a fragrance I like for collaboration. However, let me be very clear I still purchased the majority of my collection.

I ended up decluttering the two bottles I did have, I wasn’t using them even though I really liked both of them. I declutter bottles every so often to make room for the new ones. 😊

No I collect because I enjoy it and also review them. I fully understand that it’s excessive
don’t collectors collect what they like tho? if you’re collecting things that aren’t a love or even a like then you’re not a collector you’re just a hoarder with a lot of disposable cash?????
Well, some are my Husbands firstly so I can’t just declutter his ones. I also get sent some for review without sampling first so they end up in my collection. It is good to keep some on hand that aren’t loves for me so I can compare too when I review. I’ve always said, I am not really a collector and more of a hoarder as most w collectors will keep their bottles in the original packaging.
