I have been eyeing a restomod c4 bagged for a few months then came across your channel. The fact you actually made it happen since there arent any kits is making the toxic side of me want to take on a 3rd project vehicle sooner than later :) Car looks amazing!
Nice vid. We just installed the Vette2Vette bar system on my C4 build on the @gearheadtour channel. It was a significant upgrade. Might have to look into this as well. 👍
So you didn't get the improvement you were looking for with the Vette2Vette? I have them on my '93 and after several attempts at tuning them, I'm less than impressed, but not giving up.
vette2vette also makes a chassis stiffening kit that helps eliminate all those rattles and creaks we get from driving on rough roads, i read from motortrend it greatly improves the feel of the car
What would you argue has more significance, the vette2vette no flex frame or this? Both for my 96 would be similarly priced and I hit quite a couple road bumps on the unforgiving Illinois roads.
Great video. I installed the Vette2Vette frame rail braces and notice barely a difference. Looking at the cutaway drawings of the frame, this camber brace might provide a better way to deal with all the frame distortion that C4s are known for. And its simpler (less $$$) that rewelding the frame that I've seen in the forums. NOTE: tuning the Vette2Vette braces again may be in the cards.
First, all your C4 videos are really helpful. Thank you! I have the same brace to install. Seems like I can just do this install on the ground with weight on the suspension. Can you confirm please? The Vansteel instructions are horrible.
Hi, i intalled mine with the car jacked up. As long as you can tighten them with the car on the ground it should be fine. It can be hard to get a wrench on the bars if the car is to low.
I didn’t know about this. I have the vette2vette kit and it was the best mod. Would this work with that too? Really get the car more solid? Especially with the roof off
Curious I have a convertible and they have the X brace and believe there’s an extra beam that goes in front of the harmonic balancer. Would this modification even be necessary on a convertibles? I’ve never really felt any major body flex. Thanks

Yes thats not a bad idea. I herd it works well too.

It hangs under the car, if u want aftermarket pipes or your car to be low kts not 4 u
I’ve got new bushings for my front A arms to install this winter.
Nice! That will help for sure.

Yes you really have to tighten them down. They made a big difference .
Can you do this instal without lifting the car in the air? I want to do it but I dont have a ton of space to jack up the car

Good video, really well explained..now i want one.
Thank you. You wont be disappointed .

Yes this would help. Especially on a convertible but its not necessary if you arent concerned .
Is this like a strut tower bar? Same idea
Too bad we can't measure the difference.
Would you be interested in modifying my 1986 c4 corvette 18500 m original owner full engine suspension exhaust and more please let me know thank you
