Very informative. I'm new to rose plants and I'm hoping to have a big rose garden. I have around 40 plants that I planted this spring.

    Great Info, thank you!
My Pink curtain has just 1 basal shoot, which is now 1.5m high! I keep checking if there are any buds at the tip, but it's always new foliage😅
I think I've learned that this climber can flower from the basal shoot later on once hardier?
It has not flowered since I got it in February, I later assumed that it was due to its somewhat shaded position in the garden. The older stems are just over 1m tall and are very healthy. Do I pinch off the basal shoot tip at 1.5m or do I let it cook 😂?
PS. Please grow more Sawubona for Ludwigs Assagay. Both of my roses I bought in February are in heaven, however I received 1 last flower that left an everlasting impression and I would love to try growing them in a better space 🎉
