I was 14 yo when my father, hired some Mariachis from Mexico, to play in our restaurant. They played this song. It is one of the most romantic songs I've ever heard, and I instantly feel in love with this genre. 41 years later, I'm here to learn it on guitar. Thank you for the simplistic demonstration. We'll see when I start practicing it lol.
Exactly the same as Stairway To Heaven and another 2,000 odd songs. It's known as the Andalusian cadence. Try Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby, HIt The Road Jack and, as I say, 2,000 odd other songs.
Not really my friend. The Andalusian progression goes down in whole steps so in this case it would be Gm, F, Eb, then a half step to D7. This is a half step descent Gm, Gm(maj7), Gm7 more like Michelle, Time in a Bottle, etc. @@patrickpowell5430
Beautiful arrangement, effortless yet impassioned vocal and inspired playing. thanks for sharing. So glad I found this. I had been looking to learn this for a friend but looked at the sheet music and almost lost heart at the proliferation of m6 and 7b9 chords. This arrangement makes it possible for a non-jazzer to play this piece. The Dm9 with alternating bass instantly transports you to the Bossa Groove. My new favourite chord.😀Once again, thank you!
I really love that Bossa Nova style and you played it nicely. I would have felt a little more comfortable to play most of the song at the beginning at first, bUt very nice video, Thank you so much.
Thank you brother! It’s good to see another Latino making it big and succeeding doing what he loves. I’m excited to learn the guitar because of your lessons so far!
Thanks a lot for this great lesson! Love your version in bossa nova style. One suggestion: it would be great if you could also do a full playthrough of the entire song, becaue it's a bit hard to connect all the parts together. I got a little lost at the end with the slow sections and how to combine them. Cheers
Hombre, fenomenal lesson. You are an awesome teacher. I found you on Sean’s channel and I’m so glad I did. Oye, dime si das lecciones atraves de Skype!
Wow! One question, though: When you play this live, do you hire someone to mop up all the panties that melted, or do you just leave them for the cleaning crew?
I love your version of Besame Mucho, but honestly this lesson was quite confusing (at least for me). You should have played the whole song in the end These timestamps are where I perceive the sections of the song 1.A 2:12 1.B 2:32 1.C 2:47 How it sounds like part 1ABC 3:00 2.A 3:38 and then repeat 2.B 4:01 (ending)
Is this in key of G?

Sounds like beautiful memories. How’s the song coming along?
Never realized how the "como si fuera esta noche" part is exactly like the beginning to Stairway to Heaven.

Oye Andres, what other Boleros do you play? I like your interpretation of them. Can you post more? Lagrimas Negras, El Reloj, La Barca... Vamos Compa!
this looks managable! (at least the playing, the singing not so much!) Thank you very much!
Musically speaking in the key of Dm it is a "Bb" chord and not an "A#".
great, TY
Thanks a lot
