I would love to know about his family especially his wife who must herself have such immense strength to deal with his being away in war zones while she manages the family. More about how he was brought up; his parents. And whether he felt a difference in culture when he went to places like Iraq and Yemen when it came to dealing with patients in intense war situations.
I’m taking Arabic from a guy from Damascus and he said that even they’re still in survival mode; they’re so focused on getting through life that they can’t really process the trauma that they’ve witnessed.
